I cant wait to see this comp this year,
Ill make two predictions right now

Manly Will win SG Ball
and Aaron Groom will be ball player of the year.

Most of their Ball side were part of the Matthews side that made the semis last year and features several NSW schoolboy reps like Brook Nickson.

They've been awesome in the trials and put 60 on the raiders in round 1.

Well as biased as I try to be my only prediction is that Balmain will finish well towards the bottom

of the three teams I saw us trial against I'd rate wests as the best but Manly also looked pretty good

ahem Newcastle - defending champions to go back to back. They have already had a convincing win over the Steelers but facing the Magpies this week should be a ripper of a game down in slumsville. I'm confident the boys will do what Balmain couldn't last weekend.

hope so - I like the idea of wests winning the comp a lot less than I do the knights

Parramatta's Ball side this year sees the bulk of last years Matthews squad take the next step up and they will continue last years success. Very good side with some impressive kids to watch - Keating, Hodkinson, Mannah and Inu among others.

If that is Matt Keating you're referring to then I hope he does have a good year because he's playing for the Knights along with Brendan Hunt 8)

Bzzzz wrong on both counts. The correct answers are:
a) Western Suburbs
b) Dean Rysko

just remember you heard it here first 8)

we wish we could enter into the debate but unfortunaly we'll be without the hotest prspect to come out of Parra in years, Jaryd Hayne who's out for the rest of the season.

That's news to me. What's he done to himself?

I saw a bit of him last year and couldn't believe he was only playing Matthews. He looked like he should have been playing Premier lague or Flegg. He's massive. And a machine.

He had injured his knee. First reports expected him out for the entire season. Its likely he may come back late into the Ball season and will probably step up to Flegg as well.
