Hi There!

Apparently Shane has signed with the Sharks for a couple of seasons.

Don't really know a great deal about him.

Can anybody give me the low down on Shane.

Please say that he is an outside back with speed to burn, great hands and can score a try from nothing!

If he is another back rower please do not reply at all!

Shane can play both Frontrow and Backrow and is a pretty decent player.

He has abit of a cult following here on LU, so i am sure someone else will shed more light on Shane both on and off the field.

If true, I am pleased for Shane at least he gets an opportunity to continue his career.

Would have much preferred to give Blackett a chance as opposed to bringing Plum into the club who is older, had his chances and never really delivered or proved himself to be first grade standard.

There's a lot of manlove when Shane Blackett's name is mentioned here.

Its not man-love. For me anyway, I spotted Shanes raw talent ages ago.

Yeah hes a good player. If hes been struggling, hes not the only one.

Sometimes a new club can flesh out some hidden talents and be re-energising.

2010 is looking like a pretty ordinary year for the panthers.

He doesnt really want to be a part of that.

He has a few good years away, builds up and he could be anything.

He has to remember that given the size of the catchment, only the elite get to start with the panthers.

Im sure most people here wish him well and hope to see him cement a possie in fg. Thats a tough ask. Us mug fans have no idea of how hard it is.

The average NRL player has a career in Fg of 50 games. Thats about two years worth or the blink of an eye.

He still has plenty of time to make his mark.

And Ricky Stuart would be an exciting coach to learn from, he builds quality.

Work hard and play strong Shane.

We are behind you mate and will watch your progress with great interest.

Shane was elite. He should have been given his chance in FG but instead the Iddiott plays worthless, nobodies like Woolnough and gives the younger players no chance to shine.

I also wish luck to Shane with his breathing, heard it was hard to consume oxygen in the Sharks sheds due to an overinhale by the Supercoach.

The cops are bums. They wont renew the coachs box AVO on sticky.

Still, anyone with enough guts to confront an international ref and call him a *&^*(@#$ cheat is in another world.

Did he expect the ref to say "Yes, well I am a cheat Ricky, I will ensure your team gets the points"

Pfft.

Go Shane, stand up to him my son (not!).

Penrith with struggle next year without the great Blackett and Orton. The club should have sold the Nepean bridge to keep the pair.A true tragedy in the making. The ladies of the night clubs will no longer hear that pick up line.

"Hi Im Dave Q, would you like Shane Blackett's autograph?!"

Yes please, tattooed on my right breast by Shane Blackett himself.

With how well Shane Blackett's going according to the many fans he has, I'm going to mount it on a plaque and auction it off on ebay, it's gonna make me millions in a few years.
