Yeah it presents as a pretty willing pack barring injuries. Their backline isn’t the worst either, I’d be surprised if they weren’t maxed out.

Another bloody window for them.

It gets annoying how these sides seem to get genuine finals windows every other year and the rest of us suffer…

All Vlandys cares about is his gambling nonsense. As a sport, I haven’t seen much under his tenure.

Im not saying it’s corrupt, but the cap hasn’t spread the talent as hoped.

But if Molo turns up at the sharks, rivers of blood I suppose!
Here I'll do it for you, they're corrupt

With Frank it really could be anything, and I guess we’ll never know.

If it is others offers coming in for him I hope - but do not expect - that the NRL will take action.

I am well over players being released with 2 years on their contracts only to be signed to their new clubs immediately.
Players should not be allowed to leave one club under contract to get more money elsewhere. The NRL need to get involved and make sure Molo doesn't get MORE money. And the value on the new clubs salary cap should be current contract + 10%. That will stop players and clubs changing clubs for more money.

I agree with what you are saying, but it is the NRL, so nothing will change anytime soon.
Talk of a player draft and transfer window from time to time, a review of the salary cap etc are mentioned and get a lot of positive feedback, but it never changes.
Anyway, at least today we should get an answer regarding F Molo either way.
I am sure Flanagan has a plan B ready player wise if Molo is released today.

Yes but that would make it difficult for clubs like us to upgrade our rosters. Don't forget we've already let a few players go mid contract who Flanagan wanted to move on which might not have been possible if you impose penalties on the receiving club. Would also make it difficult to move on players like Laurie and Rava.

Hunt and Lomax left for less money, so they provided no imposition on their new clubs. My idea is to slow down the number of players breaking contracts to sign bigger contracts. It doesn't impede players leaving for same or less money.

I really don't know what to make of the Molo situation, but I haven't discounted that it is a genuine mental health issue. Not saying it's this sort of thing but I remember when Jamal Idris walked away from footy. He had the world at his feet footy-wise but just wanted to do something else. Molo has hit 30, maybe it's dawned on him that he can't play the game forever. The other mitigating circumstance is I just can't think of any club that would be willing to pay him more than we are, so I'm not convinced it's about money.

There was talk of a potential dispute with team members. That’s a lot more common in the game. A few years ago Jackson Hastings put his hand up for being unpleasant and said he’s getting help for it.

We played the knights after he left us, one of our forumers met him after the game on the fence and he high fived them and was really nice.

As we know, his dad abandoned the family when he was a kid.

During his dark years, yeah he was starting fights and punched out DCE and another player in that hotel room “ lovers tiff” as DCE honourably described it.

We’ve already had JL and Klem play fighting but it turned into a bit of a brawl. The old one-upmanship.

Footy players are tough and passionate.

In their genes.

Just putting it out there, I don’t have any hard evidence or even a verified rumour to offer.

I’m willing to wait and hear from Molo and the club before hanging him out to dry. People tend to forget that they are people too who have day to day issues at home like normal people. No one on here knows about Molo at this stage so let’s see how it unfolds

Its as bad as it gets, very upsetting.

Id probably give the game away, but each to their own.

I did some stats for us earlier re Ackers.

Take your best side, deduct 4 random players and there’s your “bread and butter” team for the season. Same with us.

So anything we can do to feasibly reduce injuries the better.

Nightmare incident for sure. However, on Frank's return he literally did 2 more shouldercharges in the first half alone or something along those lines
