Shane Hayne disgraceful in Game 1

What was going on with his refereeing during the last 10 minutes? Almost as if he was trying his hardest to gift QLD a victory! Some disgraceful decisions!!!

just noticed when watching the replay that when Hayne made his linebreak. DCE dragged Jennings out of the chase as he ran past him right in front of Shane Hayne.

That guy basically gifted QLD the first try. How he got Daniel Tupou knocking that ball on I don't know. We need to get rid of him even if he favours NSW in Sydney next. I want to see a fair game with more competent refs.

According to the NRL, biggest ego=best ref.
Hayne has always been rubbish, not the worst (Maxwell has that honour all to himself) but nowhere near the best, but with an ego the size of the Pacific Ocean. Some of the calls tonight he just pulled straight out of his arse and his 10m in the 2nd half was close to non existent yet not a single penalty for inside the 10

Dude's ego can't be denied. I remember him staring down Andrew Fifita and saying 'are you talking to me Andrew, are you talking to me' in such a macho way. He's a disgrace but shockingly enough he's better than Tony Archer. Now that guy was plain stupid. I'll never forget how he screwed over the Eels in the 09 grand final.

I watched the game surrounded by fervent Queensland supporters, and they were pretty outraged as well. One of them even went so far as to say he'd have felt dirty if they'd won off the back of some of those clangers.

Yeah I noticed that live, made it even more infuriating when Jennings was penalised later on for holding Hodges back

Your speaking through your hat colonel. I'm a Queenslander and I thought Hayne had a shocker. But then again I've been surprised that this guy keeps getting the gig in big games. The standard of refereeing in the NRL must be bad if Shane Hayne is the best we've got!

He probably was a true Queenslander...but an honest one....slow play the ball, mate how many times did Queenslander flop all over the NSW players
...for a minute there I thought Webke was playing again....and how much time did Hayne give Qld to recover whilst Tate got his head bandaged...
