Lets face it Shaq doesnt give a crap about the regular season. When it comes to playoffs he will deliver. He's still quite a force.

Shaq isn't good enough to just turn it on whenever he wants to anymore though. He hasn't been able to just show up in the playoffs for years. Even when Miami won the title, it was more so because of Alonzo Mourning and Dwayne Wade's free referee pass than anything Shaq did. Kinda sad that he's in such obvious decline.

Which raises a question that I've asked in the past: if you're a super duper star with that much money, why wouldn't you retire? It kills me watching people like Shaq go out like poo. Same with Jordan on the Wizards stint. I'd walk away while I was on top of the world.

Due to his size Shaq will still be in the league for a few more years yet, no matter how old/fat/lazy/crap he gets someone will pay him. Especially with only very few true centers left in the league, if 100 year old Dikembe Mutumbo can still be in the NBA Shaq could probably hang around another 10 years if he wanted.
