A thread is started saying what he did was stupid.....no abuse, nothing over the top.......a couple of others, mainly Dragons fans think the same.........Sharks fans arc up and react like calling the act "stupid" is akin to labeling him a murderer......and yet the ones pointing out the stupidity are the ones being precious ? I just don't understand, that in a time when apparently your sponsors are bailing, or at the very least as nervous as hell, you blokes wouldn't see the stupidity in that act and therefore understand the post. Do you really believe it wouldn't have raised an eyebrow and damaged you further with them ? If so, no drama...we'll disagree and move on.
For me.......If it happened in Rd 1.....then i would say bugger all damage....if it happened to a Dragon tonight......i would say bugger all damage.....but a Shark.......now ?
Your mates have all rightly told me that it wouldn't have worried many parents, grandma's etc..... but they seem to ignore the sponsors and what they would think. Considering where you are at financially....i would think they are people worth considering. No ?

Daniel Mortimer played his second career game today, won a really tight contest with a match-winning play in the 75th minute, got MOTM and was extremely polite in his interview. Parramatta were in an identical situation to Cronulla, probably even worse given they went away to one of the comp's best teams after losing to Cronulla, whilst the Sharks played a team out of form and at home as well.

Poor comparison - Mortimer was brought up with a media focus on his family , plus he is a full time player and in the squad all year .

Porter had a different upbringing and still works in his own business and was only promoted 2 weeks ago .

At least 3 of your posts have mentioned sponsors Two of the sponsors who reportedly bailed are still with us and more are apparently coming on board
This thread was obviously a bait thread and has worked well but lets get down to tin tacks here, the guy blooped on live TV and instantly apologised. If you think that is stupid fine, but enough to upset sponsors?

He said f**k a few times, if sponsers want to get on thier high horses about a few swear words then they arent worth gettin into bed with imo, ok ok on top of all the sh*t thats gone down lately (which I might add is 90% media hype)
might have made it seem untimely but surely as a reasonably intelligent general public, anyone (including sponsers) can see that it's just a genuine mistake from a young bloke with f**k all experience.

I'm sure the toilets stink down at Shark park at times... should we flame the club for that also?

Fair enough Coolum and Qld sharks. I've got NFI what your sponsors think. Just guessing based on media reports and also considering what my conservative employer would be doing if there was an association there. In short, they would have pulled their yen quick smart. If the situation is stronger than i percieve and its likely no further harm was done then laugh away i suppose. You got some loyal sponsors there if they stick through this year.
