Loved the free flowing attack and the defence.
If we can get the bench right, the selections right, complete the sets and keep lowering the missed tackles, we can win the comp.
The team is certainly there for it.
Just had a look at the stats for last night (after the second run thru).
Our MT was exactly on our average for the year.
Here is the really pleasing part - Storm were close to 50% above their MT average.
We completed 77% of set, they only completed 59%
We only had 12 errors compared to the average of 19, they were spot on average
We had 6 line breaks and they had 2 - they average near 8 LB a game (til last night!)
So we forced them in to a huge MT rate (for them) and maintained our normal display. There MT's cost them line breaks and we took advantage. We did not drop the ball with the huge amount of offloads we had and we scored another 5 tries.
Our trend is that we are maintaining a consistency that is forcing teams in to mistakes.
Last nigt was a dominating performance that had me jumping and singing. As Sk and others have pointed out a few things still to improve and we are 8 bound and very conceivably top 4. I share millers caution about becoming dragonised but damn we look good.
My negative for the night - STEVO WAS NOT AWARDED THAT TRY!!!!!!!! DAMN!
