We scored 40 odd points last year against the donkeys and the 2009 side still makes the top 10. I don't think we're out of the woods just yet.

Our stats will have improved by seasons end.

It's not our squad that is responsible for those stats it's the style of play Ricky Stuart imposed on the team.

In the past two weeks the team has played a different style.

It has involved more of a passing game and with more adventure.

It has been enjoyable to watch for a change.

We scored 22 points against Parra and won and we scored 4 points against Brisbane and lost. Unfortunately our handling let us down against Brisbane and we bombed at least 3 tries with poor decisions. It happens. But we had every chance to win the game unlike most of the other games this year where it has been over at half time and never looked like winning under Ricky's old boring style.

Since the players were told to go out and enjoy themselves and don't die wondering you can sense there are points in us. I'm sure we'll compete against an in form Roosters side tonight as we will with most sides that we play till seasons end.

The future is looking much brighter now as attack now holds greater priority.

We'll be far from that unwanted stat by the end of season 2010.

CRONULLA are on the cusp of becoming the worst attacking team in the history of the NRL.
One more disastrous performance against the Roosters tonight and it will be official.

Their dismal average of 2.18 tries per game after 11 matches in 2010 is second only to the Western Suburbs team (2.17 tries per game) of 1999.

They are the only club to have averaged less than 2.5 tries per game in 10 seasons.

The figures provided by Fox Sports Stats show Sharks coach Ricky Stuart is set to leave Cronulla in a worse spot on the field then when he came to the club in 2007.

"You look at that list and all the team's around them, they're from another era," Fox Sports statistician Ian Collis said.

"It's pretty damning considering the game's moved on and attack is more prevalent now.

"With this weather, it's quite likely [they'll fall below the Western Suburbs of 1999], the Roosters might give them a towelling."

The stuttering Cronulla attack has deteriorated with increasing speed during the three and a half seasons Stuart has been at the helm.

They have averaged the lowest number of tries per match in every season since the start of the 2008 premiership.

The club's key performance indicators don't give fans much hope this trend will reverse by the time Stuart's tenure as coach expires in October.

In 2010 the Sharks are ranked:

* LAST for points scored;

* LAST for tries scored;

* FOURTEENTH for line breaks made, and;

* THIRTEENTH for busted tackles.

This is the bluntest attack in the competition.

Well eat your words Tyson Otto you chump!

Despite the sparkling win we still have the worst attack in the comp and the fourth worst defence in the comp.
