Generalzod don't get me wrong our defence has improved from last year... but I still don't think it is something worth praising because it is still a problem.

Just to let everyone know I went to a 21st last night after the game, and i decided to wear my sharks jersy to support my team.... I copped a lot of crap (considering the guy and his friends were tigers supporters) but i wore it with pride. When I was asked "why did you wear that when they lost?", i just replied, and will always reply, "Just because they lose, doesnt mean I wont support them. They need more support when they are not goin well, so I will wear the jersey with pride."

I think give them time they will improve, just dont be fickle.

PS. Im not calling anyone in particular fickle, but there are some in this club.

I was disappointed after last night - mainly because I had high hopes for the new season (as I always do) - but to put it into perpective this is the first game under a new coach, with new players, and a slightly different game plan - I don't think the debacle that was 2003 can be fixed after only one game. Tigers had a lot to play for as well, with all the hype that they got with their new players and the 7s win. I think we just need to give things a little time to gel.

It is only round 1 fellas, the cobbwebs will slowly break free and your combinations will continue to get better. Our defence was good. I will be cheering for you guys next week and all year, keep your heads up, as you know it is a long season.
