We got smashed on Anzac Day last year and backed it with a 20-10 loss to the sharks at sharks park.

Nothing has changed and if anything I think itll get worse as the season progresses.

So, I'll take a stab at our team list Tuesday (my edition):

1. Gutho
2. Lawson -------> Finau
3. Suli
4. Holmes --------> Lawson
5. Sloan (would really love Ramsey here right now)
6. LKT
7. Glover (I'm tempted to include Reed)
8. JDB
9. Cook
10. Klem
11. Luciano
12. Tsougranis --------> Halangahu
13. Stewart

14. Lids
15. Coucho
16. LPT
17. Halangahu ----------> Tsougranis

18. Kyle

A few changes around whether Val gets selected for SOO2 or not. I would persist with Lawson, he's shown me enough effort to warrant ongoing selection.

Glover and LKT have played together in Koe Cup, so they are familiar with each others play. As I commented above, I'm tempted to throw the keys to young Reed. If he's the future, then let's see what's under the hood. He's a very smart footballer and it would be baptism by fire.

Edge forwards, well the cupboard is bare. Luciano has to start and look to play almost 80 minutes. However, young Halangahu can play lock, which could shift Stweart out if LL needs a break. Nick T has shown enough that he can also play at a high ceiling and can cover centre as well as edge forward.

Kyle at 18 would hopefully send him a message that his game isn't up to scratch, and watching from the sidelines whether we are winning or losing may just tune the eyebrows in the right direction.

Yeah, I've thrown a lot of 'kids' in to really face the music, with a possible 3 debutantes, but I feel we're out of options with injuries and possible loss of Val to Origin. If he is selected, then Glover or Reed would take over the kicking duties (Imo Reed is the better kicker).

Anyway, these are just my thoughts on this week's team. Of course it's pie in the sky stuff, and we know it will look nothing like this, but I just think it's a far more balanced side, barring the inexperience.

Not sure why it seems to be a binary one or the other - guess it depends what side of the fence you’re on

For me, it’s on both Flanno and Young. Flanno should have got them up for it. Should have also been able to make a positive impact at half time.
Then Deano’s defensive systems are not holding up.

Let’s see how they respond next week. At least show some heart.
If we had played like the Dolphins we'd be stoked. They were a bit unstoppable. We allowed that by standing back in defence, but like the roosters game, it a bit like what happened there?
