The thing that still keeps me positive about the future is that we've finally given a lot of our juniors a run - particularly the forwards. Provided we continue to develop them the right way, this should pay dividends for us in the coming years.

There aren't a lot of decent forwards on the open market at the moment (Payne Haas won't be leaving Brisbane). We've wrapped up the youngsters we want. The expansion clubs may also struggle to build their teams. Until cap issues start squeezing players out of the top clubs, it will be slim pickings and no guarantee.

Good luck to Nick Tsougranis tonight. Having seen him run around in NSW Cup, I see some glimpses of Ben Creagh in his body shape and the way he runs.
