Was at the game and the first thing I have to say is Sloan shouldn’t see first grade again .
Guy doesn’t contest a f**king ball all night but goes for the one gutho goes for.
Suli reminds me on Euan atiken can’t f**king pass the ball but has a good running game. Move him into second row .
Zero attacking ball in the second half, zero tackles inside the 20. Zero offloads until last 5 mins of the second half.
Kyle put one kick that found the turf that was last minute. Even Luch found ground with his kick.

Fk me Gutho Is so SLOW, bloke gets creamed about 5 times a match. Don’t think I’ve ever seen him step someone with us.

Absolutely, he made that break off their error and was mowed down by Ramien by the 40 meter line, so much so that the ref felt sorry for Gutho and sent Ramien to the bin for it.

Gday, long long time lurker on this forum and first time posting. I haven’t missed watching or listening to a game since 1999 (bar the Prelim Vs Tigers 2010 when I was on an international flight) and I’m seriously considering pulling up stumps for the remainder of the year as long as Flanno and Sloan are in the 17. Gutted to even think of turning my back but watching this team feels like self inflicted torture, and truly puts a downer on every weekend.
Watching our end to sets and Sloan anywhere near the pill makes me want to vomit! KFlan might just take the cake as the worst game manager I’ve ever seen in the jersey. His end-of-set plays and kicking game are diabolical!! I’d almost prefer Richie Williams or Corey Norman who in my opinion are the absolute bottom of the barrel but at least he’d hit a field goal once in a blue moon.
Sloan is not a footballer, fullstop. head to basketball mate.

I have always seen potential in Sloan and think he is a decent young man. Time to kick the hopium on this one sadly.

Suli, one dimensional in attack and can't seem to pass a ball laterally, killed a try with that tonight. A weak link in defence when confronted with speed or agility.

Kyle, another decent person by the looks of him and tries hard. Simply not up to it at 6 or 7, not a first grader and I don't see much potential there.

Quality players may come to us for the $$ during their transition to retirement but there are no premiership hopes here in the next 3 years so quality will not come in their prime.


Our problems have been since 2010 and are sourced in the management of the club. The playing talent is just the symptom.

Our future looks bleak with the dinosaurs running the club. This will not change.

I hope I am wrong.

Ive been following the Dragons for over 65 yrs now and up until about 5 yrs ago, loved watching them. But since then watching them has become harder and harder each year. Just watching the same shit performances year in year out and remembering how we used to play. Remembering how we used to be a force and feared, and now were a sad joke. No matter who coaches us, the same rubbish just prevails. This is the first year ever where ive turned games off- last week and tonight- because im just sick and tired of watching this rubbish. I have a Kogarah season pass but i dont look forward to going anymore, because now its a dread. Dreading how were going to play and just being an embarrassment. I dont tell anyone im a Dragons supporter anymore because it just generates laughs now. Its just the constant losses like Anzac Day which i witnessed now 2 yrs in a row. And i read all the same sort of stuff from guys on here feeling like i do.
I see what the Bulldogs and Cronulla have done and then i look at us and just see nothing. Ive backed Flanno up till now, but to me hes lost it too. His son couldn’t kick to save his life and everyone knows it except for him apparently. This loss tonight has really killed me because we had every reason to win and watching Sloan knock Gutho over just did it for me. This is amateur stuff and it now permeates our whole club. I might just stick to watching A grade- at least i enjoy it and they dont make amateur mistakes

I wouldn’t even call it structured, Jeff. It’s just one out, one out, one out. It’s been going on since Bennett left. We can’t get out of our own half. Even when we do get up the other end, it’s throw it to a forward for another one out hit up. It does my head. Get the ball out ffs.

Depressing again.. if Kyle isn't dropped next game I think I'll be on the Shane out movement.. we cannot and will not ever succeed with Kyle in the 17, and if that performance isn't enough for Shane to drop him.. then wow. It speaks volumes that Kyle is his hill to die on.. which means I'll be withdrawing my support for him should he select his son again.

Sloan is a disaster, put him in reserves where his deficiencies aren't as glaring and hope to god someone is dumb enough to take him off our hands this coming off season.

I have heard that many of the players are very unhappy with the coach because he seems to be dropping players without giving a reason - he is not explaining to them why they got dropped - but the main player who has not been dropped is his son Kyle and that appears to be causing some resentment in the camp! Some players are being ignored by Shane and there are a number of players feeling that they are being victimised. Not a good sign.

Isn't there something on the Forum that mentions disharmony amongst players about the coach and many have said it was Dessie (who I said I think it was) and others have said Madge and Flanno also mentioned by someone on the Forum?

I don't really want to say it but I think that in my opinion, Flanno just isn't the right coach for us and there are several reasons but I don't want to say what I feel they are because I might be seen to be following our three amigos who love to criticise Flanno. But, one thing is for certain, Kyle just doesn't cut the mustard. The Roosters and Bulldogs can vouch for that unfortunately.

Our journey to the end of the comp has to be one that will prevent us from getting the spoon.

We have a bye next round and they might be the only 2 points gained for the rest of the season. I hope not!!
