The plan is no secret, it can be uncovered with a little bit of research. The Board have been in negotiations for over a year now. Then again it may not materialise. All I know is what I have read in the SMH. A particular Board member is central to the whole thing. I don't know if you remember but in '98 Illawarra approached Cronulla to merge. Lucky it didn't happen because both clubs may not be around today. Illawarra had little funds then and not much today.
