Another club we love to hate this Saturday night at home.
We need to improve about another 20 % in defense if we are any chance.
& about 80% in goal kicking.

Anyways, I'm going to be making an afternoon & night of it.
Are all grades playing?

Wouldn't mind getting seating near Gould. That would be fun.
But then again, what do you say to the ugliest human ever in the world, that hasn't already been said?

I think our defence was 110% at certain periods of that game, at times Melbourne really gave it to us with back to back sets on our line but we held firm. I think that game was won through our defence, in that period of 24 - 18 a try by Melbourne who gave it everything they head would have possibly sparked a come-back. Overall though, defence needs to be improved. That first try was a disgrace with Slater breaking through two defenders like a prop in full flight. Goal kicking was difficult for Kimmorley and I think considering that he played night before he wasnt at his best, he haf been kicking extremely well in previous games.

Would you really want to sit next to Gould? All you would hear is him talking crap bout how good the Roosters are even if they were getting slaughtered. I think I may have seen him in Sutherland one time, its prity hard for anyone else to look like him so I'd imagine it was him. Dont kno waht he was doing in Caringbah #-o .

Go the Sharks!

Our defence definately improved up the middle this week V the Storm. It has to improve more though if we are gonna be serious about making the 8. Teams like the roosters and Dragons (which proved so last week) will eat us alive at the current level it is at.
I also think we are still vulnerable out wide. I cant see a possible defensive solution with regards to wingers without giving something away in attack though. Bailey was also been found out a few times tonight but he has been doing better than anyone else tried in that position.
For the roosters game we just have to hope our forwards turn up to play so we at least have enough possession and to give enough room for Noddy to do his stuff so we have every possible chance of winning.

Our defence has improved, but we still have lapses we we practically let the opposition walk across the line.
We need 110% effort in defence against the Roosters next week.

I think it will be a good game. The Sharks have proved we can actually match it with the big boys if we want to. We have now had wins against the Raiders, Eels and Storm and a narrow loss to the doggies. We just need to be on our game, focused and motivated to be competitive

I'll be at the game next weekend and I hope our boys put in a big effort

I think so Houdini. We have racked up wins against some quality outfits and were unlucky to play Dragons at the peak of their season last week. I dont think we will have enought to beat the Roosters but we will certainly give them hell!

Good win tonight, and a good month overall. We've beaten Canberra, Parra and Melbourne, and lost to a very good Dragons side. It's time to take the next step tho. Time to go from being a Top 8 side to a Top 4 side. If we can play for 80 mins like we did in patches tonight we'll give them a shake.

I think a top 4 finish is a little too much to expect this year. If we scrape into the 8 I will be a very happy Sharks supporter.

If we can continue with the good performances and stay consistent, then we should see some more wins. At the moment we are still a little too up and down with our form imo

But bring on the Roosters. I am getting just a little bit more confident each week that we can perform against the stronger teams.

He lives in the Shire

Kangaroo point to be more to the point

I think he's moved out.

Next week will be interesting. The Roosters got pretty much everyone back this week. I watched that game on silent and a small sceen at the golf club, so I probably missed a lot, but we did appear to look quite good. I'll be tipping the rooters next week, but I think we are a fair show. Saints must be going alright, going on our form tonight.

This game will give us a chance to see where we are really at.
They will be full strength (unless Crocker goes for that "in the air tackle") so a win over them and we are real Top 8 contenders.
I thought we dropped too many easy passes tonight.
Dumas dropped a couple but he wasnt Robinson Crusoe.
We wouldnt want to lose as much ball in tackles either.
Mr Hayne gave us more than a fair go tonight (about time) but it would surely be a miracle if we got the rub of the green 2 weeks in a row.

It waasn't an in the airtackle it was attacking thelegs of a kicker which sees a suspension of 4 weeks I believe.
Snapped legs are the result of that most dangerous play.

& Dumas has an ordinary night. Bad plays leading directly to 2 tries.

Already this reminds me of the lead up to the St.Geo-Illa game. We have just had a good win and now we are all expecting to beat the Roosters, myself included.

I think we have to improve our defense by atleast double. The tigers matched it with them for the first half hour of their game but they just got worn down.

They have 3 or 4 points of attack compared to our 1, 2 at the most. Basically I think we really need to concentrate on completing stes of 6 this week and getting good kicks away. Field position will be everything.

With their rushing defense, Bailey and Vagana should be dangerous on the fringes. Stay deep and go around them.

From what I've read so far you don't get too much wrong blacktip-reefy but you are wrong on the above. Crocker is not on report for "clipping". Hodgson caught a high ball and Crocker took him out while he was about 3 feet up in the air. It was every bit as bad as clipping the kickers legs though and still should draw 4-6 weeks.

I am starting to like Raper's thinking.

The 7 forward defensive line he went with for the Storm match was spot on and really helped soften them up. Hilder plugged behind the ruck really well and Gallen added oomph to the troublesome right fringe

I think Raper out thought Bellamy in this one.
