It's a bit unfair to single him out for that. Dougie has let in his fair share of tries but you don't hear him being blamed for losing us games.

Thats kinda what I mean, the games I saw the kid was going alright, by all means have a spit (we all do) but realistivcally anyone can see the boy has talent.

Well I am sold if sfp knees are not up to it then Barrett to half, Wright to 5/8. Anything beats Morris at half. Morris at hooker is fine.

Something else mate, The Newtown fans love it when you fellas go to Henson with your flags etc too. It's like a timewarp back to the 70's-80's at that ground and they love it when you're there, well done.

hahaha yeah love going to hensen great place to watch footy, not happy we loose home games though.

Thanks for those reports , it makes great reading with those new players aimming up early cos we are going to need them later in the season . Joe Grima could turn out to be the buy of the season.

Thanks boys. Good reading.

The old Henson Park. Played there myself when I was a lot younger and lived at Newtown / Erskinville.

Joe Grima was here last year and our u20's got flogged yesterday. He needs to get a few wins.
Wins in under 20's means f**king nothing.

Producing good youngsters does.

Check out who came through the ranks last year, starting to get a good production line.

bullsh*t wins in the 20's mean nothing. How could you possibly think that. It is its own competition as has always been whether its called President's Cup, under 21's whatever. The comp doesnt merely exist to service the NRL. They need to start winning a few games for a lot of reasons. One big one would be to help attract young players to the club. You dont get noticed as much playing in a losing side.

Those who came through the ranks last year were Ricky Stuart signings. I am not knocking Grima. I do think he is a great asset to the club but what Cityshark said is incorrect. And Grima doesnt coach NSW Cup anyway.

Who really came through?

Fergo had a blinder of a season no doubt. Stapler was thrown in due to injury, and Matty Wright as a member of our top 25 was always going to get some FG.

I don't really think you could credit the NYC with really helping them, aside from *maybe* Stapler.

We ended up coming last in the under 20s, and conceded something like 700 points.

I am with Sam, I don't think the importance of the under 20s should be underestimated and given the massive fluctuations in squads from year to year, I don't think we have an excuse for another season like last year.

Grima has brought a lot of players over.

Keep in mind half the 20s team was in the NRL or NSW cup last year.. He didn't have much to work with

Spot on. An injury crisis at NRL level filters down through all grades

I thought Matty Wright was impressive in the trial against Manly as well. He must have done some growing in the off season as he made a few strong runs that really troubled the defence.
