Front rower and Flegg captain from last season. Hails from Perth and I think he is very decent player. Probably will spend a good year or 2 in premier league learning the ropes of the front row but i think he has first grader written all over him.

For the benefit of reefy and those who have a sense of humour, here is something I got mailed before 2003. With Dean Treister bleeding from the eye on the front "Support the might of the black blue and white"

With our new breed of young players like Paul Franze, Greg Bird and Jye Mullane emerging to compliment our more established players, we have the nucleus of a very strong squad in 2003. We have also added to our depth by signing giant forwards including Junior Paulo (Penrith), Don Tweddle (South Coast) as well as massive front rower, Shaun Tweddle (Manly). Our backline depth has also increased with the signing of Australian Schoolboy Representative Stephen Ross, Dragons utlitiy Jason Kent and Canterbury Bulldogs centre Andrew Emelio.

Off the field there are some great new benefits for season seat holders including the $8 entry fee to attend any away game in Sydney, Newcastle and Canberra.

So don't forget 2003 is not the year to be without a season seat at Toyota Park.

If I'd known Franze, Bird, Mullane, Paulo, Tweddle, Wessel, Ross, Kent and Emilio were our main drawcards in 2003 I might have saved the thousands of dollars of beer money I spent at Toyota Park this year.

Actually, no I'm a tragic. I wouldn't have. We can only hope for better in 2004!

Anderson says. "This is the next step, we have to go one further than we did last year. I want to try to improve each year, so obviously our goal is to make the grand final this year."

Noddy says. "We don't want to come to the semis and fall one game short again."

Yep, missing the semis will avoid that sort of disappointment.
