Sheens and Ronald have scoured the country side and shores far beyond looking for a prop. A big mean bugger with heaps of ability who wants peanuts. Well sadly their mission was a failure.

The brains trust then came up with a brillant idea (thinking outside the square of course). Invite the members along to training, now we know they have

1 passion--who else would drive and catch red rattlers all over sydney to see their team

2 They would probably pay for peanuts especially cash so they could keep their dole and pensions

3 most can handle themself when times get tough-lets face it we cop a lot of crap from the other sides when the team goes belly up in all the big games.

4 most of us are desperate for a winning team

5 most of us could defend better than the mob we have at present.

So bring your boots along and you might get a gig and remember if your not built like a brick sh.thouse their are plenty of other postions up for grab no7 comes to mind, their must be a member who is good at kicking!!

Just when we think Sheens has ran out of ideas he pulls another trump card out of the bag. Thats why he can still get a gig with a 33% average

Apart from the comic side of this post, I have to say- every year Sheens and co have managed to surprise us with their continued ineptitude with recruitment. Amazing. Why are they not being quizzed by WT management what they are up to? Why have they waited until the players have been already snapped up and the dregs left to announce they are looking for a prop?

For heaven sakes- this is a specialised position with few good players able to do the job. Surely, if they really wanted one- they should have put the bids in for one early and snared their signature and then however many back rowers or others that had to be released to free up the money that was what had to be done.

This just continues to expose the club to ridicule among the players themselves for unprofessionalism wihtin the club. What makes them think a really good player woild want to come to the club and take a chance with their reputation with such comical practices???????????

Because, it's cheaper. Why bid on a prop if you have to pay $$$? Anyway, props are over-rated. Money spent on a prop is a waste. People expect to see an actual prop or 2 playing, at least once, so if a Supercoach is going to have to get one, make it a cheapie. So, the strategy is another masterstroke. All genuine visionary Supercoaches (like there's more than one!) will tell you- backrowers are where you need to spend the bucks. Backrowers make awesome props. Any random backrower is 10 times the prop, that a mere prop is.

Release backrowers? Quelle horreur! Nonsense. You can never have enough backrowers.

I suspect Teflon Tim maybe over did the numbers of backrowers WT actually needed to the detriment of other positions.

On a serious note I cant get over the number of people who think the likes of Davidson from the u20s can fill the void in our frontrow stocks. Sure he shows promise but the gap between u20s and FG is huge for most postions but frontrow is light years. Take Gibbs for example he is still a work in progress (some think a work that has been canned) and he has been playing FG for years. We need a top notch hard head than we will start winning games and the young kids will develope at a quicker rate

yep, its a sorry saga. stupid question- what position did Teflon play at Penrith? I can only assume it wasn't front row or he should know better.

he played about half of his career as a prop and the other half as a back rower.

given his pissy build, it's no surprise he tries to make players like Danny Galea a prop

I think that unless there is a prop cut from another clubs roster WT have left it too late to get a specialised prop with experience- at best I'm assuming one of the younger players will have to step up and great expectations be hoped for from him- Liam Roach / Davidson.

Trouble is NRL is not the place to be learning and gaining experience (to that level anyway)............ great one McDonnell, Teflon and WT management.
