Whenever I hear that a team is disgruntled with the coach, I usually think the coach has done something right. They've probably made a tough decision, called out a popular player, or just told the players the truth about something like attitude or hard work.

If the review has come back that Potter has trouble communicating or developing players, then I think he should have got a chance to address that or employ staff to fill the breach. Get someone in to look after the young halves like Langer and Johns do with their clubs. If the players like the assistant's, then use them for communicating more (maybe that's part of the problem?).

I think that Potter has got something going for him and he has had some decent results with this team. From the sounds of the supposed problems, they are things that could have been worked on rather than straight up sacking the coach*.

The way Tallis was talking it sounded like a recent thing. It was only finally when pushed by Ayoub as to when the comment occured did he admit to it being last year.
