Their new EP "Alive" goes on sale (Aus) on Feburary the 14th. I've only heard the title track and f**k, excellent track indeed.

For fellow NSWelshmen, their NSW tour -

I'm 18 on the 17th of Feb...best timing ever. :D

What is it with these new album titles?? There's also: "Asleep is the new awake" by Ben Lee & "Good news for people who love bad news" by Modest Mouse.

Reminds me of the Sum 41 video: "Blink 182, Sum 41, they're out. Numbers are so out these days, it's "The" bands that rule the roost, kids: THE Strokes, THE Vines, THE Hives".

I don't like Sum 41 but that clip was f**king brilliant.

Well the album has already been recorded I think, so blame Ben Lee and Modest Mouse for being sheep.

I'm getting confused though. They are releasing an EP with the new single "Alive" on it, as well as a new album later on. I'm pretty sure Alive is released Feb 14th. No idea about LITNH though...

I'm 18 on the 17th of Feb, couldn't have asked for better timing. I'll be at all 3 :D

Alive is a f**king excellent song..

Non-fans might not understand, but it sounds like Shihad. Not Pacifier...Which is a VERY good thing :D Not that I don't like the Pacifier album, there are some excellent tracks on it its just that it has a more polished sound that could be heard from alot of bands out today. Where as a Shihad sound is more unique. I first heard the song on the radio and without a DJ intro I was able to pick it.

Oh yeah, "Alive" sounds like Shihad in their first few years - very heavy.

Already aware of the dates, getting my tickets hopefully tomorrow! 8)

Same here, I was thinking "hang on, the voice sounds VERY familiar, this must be Shihad". And afterwards, it was confirmed...

With the Annadale gig, can you get them online at all?

I don't want to risk not buying tickets before the night.

Shihad are without doubt one of the greatest live acts you'll ever see [apart from Midnight Oil early 80's] they are the only support act to have ever blown You Am I of the park at any gig.

not to mention the frontman with the greatest Rock name ever "Johnny Toogood"

This will be the third time I've seen them.

Once at the Blacktown RSL in 2000 (a band called Weta were the supports - no longer around, but had a Powderfinger sound and kicked ass), and at the Coogee Bay Hotel last year when Triple M chucked on one of those free concerts. I would have gone a lot of other times, but a mix of work and finances put paid to that.

But they always put on a show. The best live act I've ever seen. They just make the room explode.

f**k that is one excellent song. It gets better everytime I hear it.

It's a perfect combination of the old and the new. The fast beat and the drop D riff screams Churn and Killjoy. The melody of the chorus is straight off TGE,self titled or Pacifier.

Bring on Love Is The New Hate :D :D
