Did you watch the game at all Maroubra because our defence was rock solid mate. Crnulla didn't look like scoring at all in the second half and only did due to a grubber in behind the line.

I agree with you Alex....we made the right decision to kick off...unfortuantely Vaealiki got injured & Sullivan exploited it alas Mark Bugden in the 84 GF.

Yeah it looked real solid with that kick over the top near the goalposts. Parra stood around while the Sharks scored. This was absolutely pissweak. If this was a grubber then I must have missed it. Doesn't really matter. We were dreadful. The sharks are hopeless but they made us look pretty bad.

lol...yeah judge our defence on cleaning up a kick to a guy sprinting for the ball.. I was sorta more talking about gang tackles, hard hits, slowing down the play the ball, closing up gaps etc.

I'm mad to0. But just because Parra lost doesn't mean they played shit. As most of you have said they should have won. A team can't be said to probably have won when they play as bad as some of you are making out.

Wagon actually passed the ball to John Morris on a cross play about 10 metres out from the try line, similar to when he passed to Dykes against Canberra and he scored. Although, obviously not anywhere near as effective. Although Morris did look for a second he was going to break through. I think the defence had a momentary brain lapse cause they had just witnessed Wagon actually PASS the ball!!!

Yeah then there is also the people that will say. Parra are crap. Worst ever game today. We'll never win another game. Worst team in the histroy of Australian Rugby League. Why did we let this guy go. Smith must be sacked. Dykes is shit. Wagon is not a 5/8. Bad defence. The players don't care. Bring in Michael Witt.

That is of course until the week we win. But even then some people like to whinge about things.

My personal opinion was that as a whole our defence was exceptional tonight.
We played well but the sharks also played well.

I think it was said previously.... We have played worse and won.
(namely last week against Manly)

With the selections that Brian pulls out every week its a wonder we win at all.

I think our ability to stop tries was made look alot easier due to our calibre of opposition. But the enormously poor sign was our inability to stop Cronulla making easy metres up the field when they had the ball. it is what kept them in the game. We need to learn how to slow the play the ball down alot better.

We rae now very concious of not giving away silly penalties including lying in the play the ball. Problem is - that every ref has a different standard.

This game reminded me alot of the match v Canberra because our attack just looked very flat. We had plenty of opportunities to score but we just kept running out of ideas or coughing the ball up cheaply. Our defence was pretty good though for the majority of the game. I'm sure we'll see a much better effort next week.

If we decieded to recieve, we would have knocked it on any way.

I have never seen so many mistakes by some of our best players, Morris and Grothe in particular.
