I think our attack is way too over structured, players don't play what's in front of them and a lot of what we do seems premeditated. I watched the Panthers play last night and the way they can't shift the ball sideline to sideline whenever they like is beautiful to watch. For us it's the exact opposite, the ball either doesn't get past the backrower who just gets tackled or in a lot of cases because the shift is so slow the defence is already in the face of the ball carrier when they get the ball. I mentioned in another thread that when we shift the ball wide we never do it just 1 or 2 passes off the ruck whereby the centre gets early ball and some space, we make sure every decoy has run their line and it's gone through the predetermined number of hands before the centre gets the ball and by that time the opposition outside backs have already jammed in
