Should Beale replace Bird at right centre?

Beale is the best centre at the club and had a great combination with Val last year.

Bird at centre isn't a complete failure he's definitely making a fist of it, but some of Val's dropped pills are definitely due to shitty passes.

Beale is wasting a position on the bench getting less than 10 minutes, or as was the case tonight, 0 minutes.

Gallen and D.Fifita are due back shorty and D.Fifita was in decent form before he went down.

That leaves us with Heigno, Paulo, Bukuya, D.Fifita, Prior and Beale as our bench options (unless Beale slots back into the backline).

Whatever combination you want to go with, it's hard to justify carrying a specialist back.

Next question is what to do with Bird, but first thing's first.

I would punt Loots and put Beale in then figure out if Bird can play on the left or not. Beale definitely had a good combo going with Val. From memory Beale played on the left at the dragons so should be an easy fit on the left.

Personally, I'd put Beale and Val on the left and Bird and Gagan on the right. Punt Ricky and Feki.
Need 4 forwards on the bench. Paulo offers more than I gave him credit for.

Yeah I'd prefer Beale right centre with Val, we can bag Val for some shockers tonight but he wasn't getting good passes. Don't know where to put Bird, he'd actually be a better benchie than Beale.

That works. Feki and Loots are easily upgradable and don't offer enough in either facet of the game as a combo.

Outside looking in but what is the issue with Beale (why is he on the bench)? Injury?

Kiwi international on decent coin presumably coming off a pretty good year last year.. Is he the type to go running for the door or will he fight his way back in?

I'm all in favour of reuniting Beale and val. Bird has been pretty good so like CB said, they might need to play on the left.

Leutele is the worst of the back 5. And feki did some stupid shit last night, so they can go.

I think that Gagan might get a run sooner rather than later. I predict val has a broken thumb and will be out for a few weeks. He didn't want to put his left hand anywhere near the ball last night. Form about the 5th minute.

Bird has to be on the field so I voted no, he was dangerous with the ball all night but I would agree with the Beale/Feke or Gagan I suppose. Gagan carving it up in reggies?

I don't think changing feki and loots is the answer.
They go well, I don't know why people can't see it.

End of the day, Flanno needs to make a hard decision. Beale or Bird.

Simple.

I'd put Beale and put bird on the bench. He can play in the back row.

According to this LINK

Cleeland was the standout, Capewell and Mitch Brown were good, Brown setting up 2 Gagan tries. Malakai Houma and Jesse Sene-Lefao mentioned as the best forwards.

good that there is completion for spots

i like feki.
id put beale in for leutele and then swap em so birdy plays on fekis side and beale is with val.
i don't see the the point of the bench back. given bakuya or even graham can shift

gagan
until he can go 2 seconds without being injured i wouldn't have him in firsts just yet

I'd like to see Beale replace Loots for a start. Luetele has made a few good tackles last few games but is no threat in attack.

Id like to see bakuya play right centre
