It wouldnt be fair having Canberra running round with only 8 players on the field every week.

Wouldnt be so bad, even with 8 we'd still manage to beat your Marshall-less mob via a Todd Carney Golden Point field goal

Diving is actually harder to pick on the field thanit is off. When you arein themiddle the players safety is your main concern. Unfortunatley some players use this in an unsportsmanlike manner which never looks good for the game.

Mind you I did penalise a player once for not rising to his feet to play the ball as he smiled and laughed at his opponent as he went down. Not realising I had seen this.

I would say about 40-60% of players who go down are faking. But at the end of the day as a referee there is not much we can do about it.
