I say yes. Its Pierce's job to inform the players on behalf of the NRL about the violence against women policies/procedures.
He has not fulfilled the job properly.

Care to back that up goose?

Nothing he could have done to have stopped Latu doing what he did yesterday morning. He had clearly been antagonising the girl for some time that night.

Latu is an animal with previous form. A loose cannon.

Pierce has shown that he deals with these types of incidents very well. It's not his fault when a player gets a gutful of piss and f**ks up.

Interesting slant on things - the Latu thing is absolutely disgusting, just disgraceful, and no longer can we look poorly upon other clubs like the Dragons and Bulldogs for their off-field behaviour.

Frenzy.

Don't be ridiculous. I'm sure the club fulfils it's duty in that regard. They can't have 24 hour minders on players and they can't dictate to players where they go and what they do.

Can you back up your claim that Greg Pierce has not fulfilled his duty on letting players know what is expected from them in the presence of women?

Yes or no, sh!t for brains?

IDIOT!

Why should he take the fall?

Anyone knows not to punch girls...

Pierce can't control the farkwits all day. It is their responsibility to act like a human being.

Ok Greg, I mean sirshire or are you a long lost love child?
I cant back it up but its apparent if he said anything it didnt come across. No need to be a merkin and get nasty.

I wasn't the one throwing around wild, false accusations.

If you can't back something up, don't suggest it. Especially about such a touchy subject.

WHY SHOULD HE HAVE TO SAY 'Don't hit women its wrong'!?!? It's f**king common sense!

It is not his job to make sure they are morally right...
Stop playing the blame-game.

fatshark...let it go .
You are wrong.

Greg Pierce has been doing a good job since he took over.

This incident has nothing to do with him.
I'd hazard a guess that he was in bed fast asleep when this happened.

i'm sure the players have been advised correctly. Hitting a girl is obviously an action that has not been thought about, hence the advice given to Latu would be useless in that situation. I don't think before hitting a girl, a person would stop and think "oh what are the NRL policies on this one?" Is somebody that king hit's a teenage girl even capable of performing the thought process?

Ever heard of taking responsibility for your actions ? He's a god damn grown man !! The most ridiculous thread yet .......!! I have an idea , hows this ??

- Greg " Hey Latu , i forgot to tell you punching women is not aloud by the NRL"

Latu "Oh sorry boss i didn't know that was a rule , sorry if i'd have known that i wouldn't have punched her and spat on her" ..............

IDIOT!

f**k me,its just a debate. I just think the players manager, and thats the blokes job, should cop it on the chin.Considering S Mortimer and B Smith parted,Pierce should really consider the position.

Pierce probably assumed that rule number 1 was covered by Latu's mother when he was a little boy.

Mortimer parted for different reasons, same with Smith.

They were not sacked and were not pressured to leave over the incident...

You are a farkwit.

mate the problem you have with this thread is that right now everyone is very pissed off about it and are fuming at that moron Latu for getting the club in the papers for such a horrible incident ........ 1 step forward and 2 steps back with this club sometimes !!
