Sign Tom Turbo

Des' sacking at Manly is likely to trigger player unrest and my preference would be to sign some of the big bopper Polynesian forwards (Olakauatu and Paseka) who may come onto the market. Jake and Tom are part of a family dynasty on the Northern Beaches and I can't see them moving and like previous posters, I have injury concerns about Tom anyway. It's a no to Hasler as well from me- he's getting old, cranky and set in his ways like Hook. However, we do need to move Hook on and sign a younger coach for multiple years because no player agent will recommend their client go to a club with the coach only signed for 2023 and with not much more security than Des had. My preference would be either Flanno or Hannay.
Well if Manly has the guts to sack Des and pay him off, then I can't see why the Dragons cannot do the same to Hook.

I wouldn't sign up Hasler who if we did will turn out like he has done at the Bulldogs and his "beloved" Manly. He would be better than Hook but could be trouble with a capital T.

You won't have much cap left for the rest of your NRL fantasy team you are putting together the way you are going. Suggest you include someone who scores tries and kicks goals for extra points.
We need to see if Hunt wants a release after Hook is asked. If he does then we will have 1.8m plus to spend. So, I'd rather get Tom turbo than any other on the market and if we did that, there would be 800k plus still to spend.

I would move Ramsey to left-center and Suli to 11 giving us the ability to buy two more for our top 30 with approx. 800k to spend on a hooker and backup halfback (Robson and Kyle Flannagan),.

Sack Griffin now and sign Hasler. Two Turbos will follow Hasler. If Hunt wants a release because Griffin is asked, then we still have enough to sign Robson.

1. T Turbo
2. Matt Feagai
3. Ramsey
4. Lomax
5. Ravalawa
6. Amone
7. Sullivan
8. J Turbo
9. Robson
10. De Belin
11. Suli
12. Su'A
13. Bird

14. Mbye
15. F Molo
16. Lawrie
17. M Molo

Coach D Hasler

A very competitive team for 2023

Well I am damn sorry to upset the apple- cart gents , however it has just come to light that the Tjerovic ( ? ) boys do not have a get-out clause in their contracts after all .

Apparently those media hacks have been fibbing ! If you cannot trust the journos then who can you trust ? ?

So should Dessie ever make it down to the ‘ gong someone had better tell him to bring his own cheque book with him . 😳

I take back my recent criticism possum.

We should sign tommy turbo.

Once he’s onboard, Cam Munster will activate a cooling off clause in his contract so that he can come play with tommy in the red v.

Always been a dream of Cam’s to play with the turbo

Many a contract has been broken in recent years so, all that is needed is for the Dragons to contact Manly and do some horse-trading. Why would you let something like the, 'the players don't have a get-out clause in their contract', when Manly got Saab when he wanted out but still was under contract and even Des Hasler was sacked while under contract.

Sloan for Tommy Turbo, if Su'A still wants out, then Su'A for Jake. As for the other two Turbo's, just do some horse-trading. But act quickly, before the off-season starts. Our Board just finally needs to shell out some real cash for Hasler. Enough to make him happy and Manly can chip in to seal the deal.

Get on with it Craig Young, it is not always about you and Dean!

I doubt very much indeed that the Manly club would allow either on of the Turbo brothers to go . You have me astonished if you truly believe that they would also entertain any thoughts whatsoever about throwing some money our way to seal any deal .

What you truly swap Jake T for S’ua ? Personally I believe that Jake has always been somewhat overrated , at least in my opinion and he is not getting any younger .

However I would take Hasler on as coach , but as far as the 2 Turbos are concerned - if they did manage to get out of their contracts then I am sure that Wayne Bennett would be the first to have a word in their ear , not Craig Young .

One thing is for sure - Tom & Jake are about to enter the prime of their careers. They are not going to want to play the prime of their careers in a proverbial train wreck. They (and their management) will be doing everything in their power to:

1. Firstly ensure that Manly hold their (pretty decent in all respects) roster together and that a decent coach takes over who can smooth out the massive cracks of unrest which have devloped in recent months (the Manly board have a lot of work to do here - and whether Seibold is the right man is very questionable).

2. If point one above fails, they will be exploring all options in the market and options to be released from their contracts. We can also bet that the Manly board won't be paying a cent towards uplifting any deal that may transpire at other clubs.

3. If they are loyal to Des, they may be looking to go where he goes (unfortunately I don't think we are Des suitors not just because we have Hook under contract for next year but because it's also a bit of a short-sighted approach - Knights and Titans would also be making inquiries now, especially if it means DCE might be coming available?)

Hmm... a potential player swap with Su'a for whomever else might work if Seibold is taking over as Manly coach?

I don’t want Su’a going anywhere.
