I don't mind the laid back vibe of the Hobbit movies, the only thing that shits me off is the 3d bullshit camera shots. Make the actual cinematography look good, not just mash 3d effects on top f**k sake. Hate 3d.

Harry Potter has got nooooothing on LOTR or GoT.

Hard to compare GoT and LOTR for mine, one is 40-odd hours of television and counting and the other is three films. Books wise you could, I haven't read the GoT books though.

I think that's a bit extreme. I thought they were still quality reads.

What really has me worried is GRRM is old and fat. I really hope he's outlined every chapter because at the speed he's going at I don't think there's a very high chance he makes it to the end of the last book. And the series is so deep and complex it'll be very hard for just anybody to pick up and complete. There's so many different strands, so many layers, prophecies, etc etc...
