This would be our worse recruiting drive I have seen in an off season. Fingers crossed some juniors are as good as we are hoping. I suspect that's why we haven't gone balls deep yet

Do you not remember the one-two punch of our 2011-2012 off-season signings?

Carl Webb, Reni Maitua, Casey Maguire, Chris Walker, Chris Hicks, Paul Whatuira, Jordan Atkins, Brad Murray, Chris Sandow, Ben Roberts, Esi Tonga, Willie Tonga, Taulima Tautai all brought to the club over those two years.

Those were some dark days.

Over that same period we lost Kris Inu, Feleti Mateo, Nathan Cayless, Eric Grothe, Jeff Robson, Joel Reddy, Daniel Mortimer, Timana Tahu. That's a lot of good/decent players lost, replaced with players who were way past their prime or never that good to begin with.

This year we have at least re-signed a very good core of players from our team, most of which were in a grand final just over a year ago.

Guys like Tonga,Sandow,Reni played some good footy for us. But when we signed them most fans where happy.
The others I reckon where about as exciting as what we've signed. Two guys of NSW cup level that a middle of the table side didn't want.

People bag the Sandow signing now but at the time it was a good signing. We where desperate a d he was probably the hottest young halfback coming up. He never become a star but he still won us a lot of games and helped us rebuild.

yeah he was one of these guys who would always be remembered for that 1 performance, same with guys like Carige and Glover.

Sandow was still the 2014 KT medal winner...(remarkable given Haynes form that season )

2011 - 538 (avg 22.4) & 2012 - 674 ( avg 28 He actually only avg 27.1 as he left and BA took over with an avg of 31)

Only his 2011 was better than 2014/2015/2018/2023
