yeah he was one of these guys who would always be remembered for that 1 performance, same with guys like Carige and Glover.

Sandow was still the 2014 KT medal winner...(remarkable given Haynes form that season )
A shame both went missing in those last 2 games against Newcastle & Canberra that year.

Did they get lost at the checkout at the M1 McDonalds at Morriset and Sutton's forest McDonalds heading to canberra.

People bag the Sandow signing now but at the time it was a good signing. We where desperate a d he was probably the hottest young halfback coming up. He never become a star but he still won us a lot of games and helped us rebuild.
When we signed him it was good. When the NRL banned shoulder charges, it was always going to be bad.

They all probably made their way down to that game as well.

The poor little bugger was forced to try and tackle with his little trex arms ..... ruined his career when they stole the shoulder charge away from him

Guys like Tonga,Sandow,Reni played some good footy for us. But when we signed them most fans where happy.
The others I reckon where about as exciting as what we've signed. Two guys of NSW cup level that a middle of the table side didn't want.

Sure, they had a couple of good games here and there, but they were not great signings. If I recall, Tonga was injured for big part of his second stint with us, wasn't he?

The others may have been as exciting as next season's recruits, but he difference is next year they will be joining a team that has a lot of quality players already. Back then we had a team of mostly plodders with Hayne thrown in.

I bag the Sandow signing now...just as I did at the time that we signed him. I know a lot of people were excited about him coming to the club, but I was not one of them. He was a midget who couldn't defend to save his life and was completely erratic in attack most of the time. His poor attitude didn't help things. He did have a good long kick on him, I'll give him that.
