Is that a VCR over the bottom right's right shoulder? If so they've got the '76- vibe wrong. VCR's didn't really pop up until the '80s, and it'd be sitting on top of the TV.

Anyway, the designs are nice homages to two hard-fought premierships.
Its a record player haha.
If you zoom in you can see they are playing Abba Arrival, a classic album from 1976. They are probably listening to Money Money Money.

Buzz reporting in Code Sports that Mestrov and Manly have 'mutually agreed" to part ways. Formal announcement later this week.

What you reckon @Beavers Headgear - good thing for the club?
I’m happy with it, first thing he did when he came in was knife Hasler. He presided over the most capped Manly player finishing his career elsewhere, and has been part of the Trbojevic debacle recently. He didn’t impress me when on James Grahams podcast last season

Couple of interesting things bubbling up.

Koloamatangi being shopped for 900k as a specialist front rower… ironic given his preference to play on the edge even after Wayne moved him. Guess he’s seen the light/dollars.

Tigers have raided Penrith’s nursery and signed a gun young fullback – nothing unusual in itself... unless its a precursor to letting Bula walk from '27?

Was listening to something yesterday. Tigers have an option to take up on Bula at 900k, there is an option in Bula’s favour at 800k

Doubts over whether they see him as 900 so won’t take up the option, and he is managed by Moses so may be happy to part ways on the back of it

Yep.. Tiges will probably cop a lot of shit if they let him walk too, another promising junior out the door etc. etc. etc.

But they've had a long history of paying silly overs and while Bula has oodles of ability, he doesn't show it anywhere near often enough to warrant 900k. I mean shit that's nearly Hammer money.

It's good to see the Tigers sticking to their guns and refusing to continue being held to ransom by their past. And if the Penrith kid really is insurance then they're not just being pig headed, they're playing it smarter too.

Kalani Going was our NSW Cup Player of the Year. Isn't this a significant out? I haven't seen much, if any fallout from it, but I read plenty about Toby Crosby
Yea its a bit rough aye given his service, but its probably because there's a first grade bias when thinking about impact.

Even though we know he likely plays a massive role in setting culture and standards for youngsters coming through its hard to quantify that. And at his age he's probably passed becoming a regular, impactful first grader himself (noting Penrith may still prove that wrong of course).

Whereas Crosby still has time to reach his ceiling, and it looks a considerable one too.

I think the prevailing thought is that Going, at 28/29, has probably peaked and will only have a short NRL career, whereas Crosby is a lot younger and has a higher potential ceiling
