Looks like he has fool our dropkick coach and will get a start for the start of next season. I hope the real Simmons shines come trials

My question he is pretty average in attack which is fine Jennings does most of our attack. However he is poor defence my question does he have a poor read or can't tackle?

We will have:

Coote
???
Jennings
???
Gordon

In the backs. I prob think being poor defender he would be better suited in 4 as Gordon is the best winger at reading defence and never gets beaten around him coz hes always in the right spot and will have Waterhouse inside him to help tackle.

But if he can tackle just can't read (given his size why not) then he should play outside Jennings as he is great at working with his winger but needs a strong winger to help him with theheap of traffic that gets sent his way.

Stupid Elliott liking boring nothing players Smith,Cooper now Simmons

Best position would be left right out. The only and I mean ONLY thing he can do is catch cross field bombs.

It's more to do with his pea-heart and lack of pace. Good luck.

Franklin, he's not a centre. Doesn't have the robust nature that playing centre needs. He is a winger or fullback.

He is superb in the air in defusing or scoring off cross field kicks and bombs. He can finish a try really well with a good turn of speed but not a creative backline player. He isn't a good returner of the ball from kicks either.

He's doesn't have a huge build so defensively with one on one tackles he can be vunerable with big players running at him at speed. But he's not hopeless. Just doesn't have that killer instinct. Other backline players we released were far worse defensively like Taulapappa and Mitch Brown. I think Tim Sheens is in for a huge shock with Mitch Brown's abilities. But I digress.

Dave Simmons I think we'll be a good match for your Club's attacking style of play. If he's played in the wing or fullback position he can certainly do a job. We relied on him alot more for attacking flare than what you guys you will require. A good pick up for a player that wouldn't have cost you much.

I just want to say thank you.

He is the most frustrating, annoying pea hearted player I have ever seen in the black white and blue.

I often felt total embarrassment watching him

Franklin, just get used to yelling, "Paris for farks sake run" "run you cat, run" and the old chestnut, "have a go Paris f**k yah"

Be interested to see how many FG games our Paris chalks up for the choc-o-late soldiers.

Cheers

I still remember the game last season (can't recall against who) where he was stood up in the centres in defence and was runnning around like a 10yo school kid trying to stop the play.

Fugg I'm glad he's gone.

The only games I remember of him last year was where he seemed to be the only back to score a try.

Damn him for that.

Thanks for that!! outside Jennings it seems like that way if he's going to play if he holds the ball may go well Jennings draws a couple each run leaving the wing unmarked.

I am excepting him to play well for Windsor. Hopefully he sees sense and puts Tighe on the Blair and Blair in the centres but he does play useless Smith. Atleast Smith will have a challenger for the Princess tag

Let me give you a tip Franklin I don't think Elliot has bought him for Windsor. You'll see him in the First Grade side at the start of the year. From there who knows?

Yes that was a pretty bad night. One of the worst butchered tries I have ever seen. Worse still I saw it live, Monday night game with about 7000 people watching from memory.

But he made up for it with the tries he scored throughout that year.
more I can say for a lot of the rest of the 2009 Sharks team.

very average player but maybe a change is as good as a holiday. This was the heir to the peach, no pressure on the bloke. Seems like a decent bloke at presos and stuff but just cant play football that great.
best of luck at penrith, they will need it.

Man, you must be on something! Even with Simmo unmarked, once he kicks in the Super Simmo Speed he even has trouble outgunning the touchie.

He lost all his pace when he tried to bulk up a couple of years ago.

Simmo is only good taking high balls and as such I think he would make a bloody good goal defensive player in netball.

Mate you don't sign someone one decent dollars and not play them.

I thought it was a friday night game. I swore Channel 9 covered it

it was a try-athon against southson a friday night - terrible game - both sides hopeless. His try would have put nulla back into it, sort of.
