Watching NRL Rugby league Summertime , its a breath of fresh air to hear that someone at WT (Steve Folkes) has realized that we need to get BIGGER. Hopefully no more bash up games that has been the achillies heel for to many seasons.

A lot depends on how u classify big. I would agree on naturaly bigger players but not just turning athletic smaller men into unmobile body building bafoons like parra had 4 or 5 seasons ago. Also a lot depends on how the stupid refs decide to run the game, if they stick to the rules and let the game flow very fast the bigger guys will always strugggle towards the end of the halves.

Agree, I have been saying it for a while, a lot depends on the refs. It seems the fans want a quick game, the media outlets want a quick game but their seems to be people who have enormous clout on how the game is going to be played each year and it usually has something to do with the playing roster they have at the club their connected to!! When you have teams like the Tigers and the Eels playing in top form it would be madness to try and slow the game down again and bring back the bash and barge
