Makes no sense to be a 1 year deal. He would of just stayed in nz and earned 1mil with no expectations then gone to roosters for 1.5mil

I'm not going to say what length of contract we should pursue. That's up to far smarter people at the club than I.

But if there was an announcement indicating that he was coming for 19 and confirmation he was off to another club in 2020 for 3 years - would you have any issues with it from an analytical point of view.

I don't think it would be ideal. But happy to see what happens.

Johnson signs a one year deal for 2019 pushing Moylan to FB
In 2020, SJ goes to Roosters, Moylan back into halves, and the other bloke (Barba) who only has a one year contract up in North Queensland plays FB for sharks.
