Veteran prop John Skandalis, currently slogging away in England, has been offered a coaching job at his old club Wests Tigers - and also wants to play in the NRL again. "This could well be my last year at Huddersfield & i think i might take up a position at the Tigers," says Skandalis, 32. "They've offered me a job and im still hoping they offer me a playign contract, because ive got plenty to offer still.

Wow i hope this is true, even if he plays limited minutes he could still teach the young blokes in the team a thing or 2 about committment and passion and hard work, he is one of the most dedicated loyal clubman ever to pull on a jersey.

a fully fit Skando alongside a fully fit Payten and Heighington, now we're starting to move forward.

Saying that, I'd prefer a younger prop, but getting a prop with the same amount of ticker as Skando isn't easy to find.

Your right younger would be good but sicne they seem to be rarer then hens teeth (cept for the dogs) someone with grit and determination like Skando would be a big bonus for the club !

heard this one a couple of weeks ago. i cant see wt offering him a playing job, he got forced out before dunno why they'd want him back. would be good to have in the ranks though, could teach a lot of bludgers in this squad about a little thing called HEART.

skando was telling everyone he wanted to come back and play for the maggies once he'd finished in the old dart at last year's presso. wouldn't surprise if he did and was available as a back up. doubt he'd cope with the week in week out grind, but would be handy to fill in for injuries.

id sign him as a back up option cant do any worse and look at price and wiki age with props is not that big a deal. Not to mention Petro.

The one player who hasent got a club for next and id sign would be Scott Logan and old head who plays hard and is very underated IMO.

God, wouldn't it be great. His expereicne would be of assistance even as an interchange player and then to be able to have him as a assistant coach for the forwards to learn from- magnificent.
