Now that we have one of the NRL's best exponents of the short kick (in Matt Head), I feel we have the right ammunition to launch an assault towards a major flaw in the Rooster's defence.

Ever since his debut I've considered Shaun Kenny-Dowall to be a major liability defending on the wing. Time and again he is lured away from the touch line when the ball see's some air from the halves to the three-quarters, leaving an unmarked winger licking his lips in anticipation.

Smart half backs have caught him out occasionally. Others have been embarrassed as this habit of his also creates an intercept opportunity. Guys like Johns or (Wally) Lewis would have had a field day when confronted by SKD. With Head starting to get his rhythm & timing somewhere near its best, I reckon he's a good show to produce a MOTM performance.

I'm predicting McDonnell to be a major beneficiary, bagging 3 tries directly from Head kicks and/or long passes. I'm also predicting SKD to score a run-away intercept try from an attempted long pass, out of Morris' hands.

and O'Meley will have to get out of a scrum first on the other side of the field.

SKd still only a kid - but he has drastically improved over past couple of weeks.

Cant be bothered checking stats but he would be leading try scorer.

I think you have it the wrong way around - if anything SKD will tear MCdonnel to shreds whether it be from kicks or ball in hand.

Its going to be scary prospect for the person you guys refer to as 'junior burger'.

Love watching matt Head - 1000% better option for tigers - but before he gets mom at some stage he is going to have to make a tackle or challenge the line.

Not saying SKD hasn't been great in attack this year. He's been one of the best wingers in the NRL in that facet of the game. His defence however has always provided an opportunity to be exploited by a classy half back with a bit of "vision". This may not necessarily show up in the stats as it is not a missed tackle or an obvious error. It is just something I have noticed from watching the Rooster at times. If Wests do happen to come up trumps attacking his wing it will be due to Head's play not McDonnell's.
