Haha not even a little bit
I just think it's rich seeing Cronulla fans storm all over the place demand Papalii's head on a plate when they served 3 weeks for a systematic doping scheme haha

And fwiw I was perfectly fine with the sharks winning a comp. Their fans suffered long enough and deserved it.

Well this sharks supporter couldn't care less about papalis suspension. He already needs to live with the shame of his dog shots.

Surely the NRL will be testing him today to see if it's still in his system. Or are they happy to bury their heads in the sand and pretend like he hasn't taken any, just possessed it for the fun of it..
As far as I'm aware, the 2 strikes rule only counts for 'out of competition' - testing positive for coke 'in season' is a 2 year ban (See Wendell Sailor).

Incorrect. Even in season testing for illicit drugs would have been the same for Barba.

I was under the impression if you get caught 'in season', you don't get a 2nd strike as it's classed as performance enhancing and is mandatory 2 year ban. Barba was lucky he was out of season - I thought the 2 strikes opportunity was only for out of season.

This is the way to approach it
There is a 90% chance that any "cocaine" sold in Sydney contains 0% of cocaine

Get em to drug test you - they can't ping you for numbing agents and glucose powder

They can however question your sanity and ask "why have you spent 300 bucks on the off chance that you might score some coke?" But then no one was ever going to put Skidsy up for Mensa membership were they?

It would be out of his system already if it was coke. The police will test the powder they found on him.

Is that about it for SKD's career?

Bromwich has no previous baggage, and is an excellent player, and is not off contract and being shopped around.

But SKD is an "average" first grader, and you'd think most clubs would be wary of him, weighing the risk of scandal to the value they'd get out of him as a player.

Sad way to end a career if it does end up that way.

You hope. It takes about 10 seconds to test purity so if the charges aren't withdrawn soon I'd say SKD is talking shit.

He has said for them to take a hair follicle test
Cocaine shows up in that

If he comes up clean then surely he is free to play

If the bag in his pocket is actually coke he will still be charged with possession. Its up to the police now.

Yes, but being charged with possession by the Police (if they deem it worthy of anything other than a caution) doesn't have a massive impact on his playing career. Testing positive would be more problematic

In the current climate being charged for possession of cocaine should warrant a stiff sanction from the nrl. Corey Norman was charged with possession of ecstacy(no positive test) and got 8 weeks.

Either way we are talking hypotheticals, lets just see how it plays out.

That doesn't sound right

Usage or possession charge should be treated the same by the NRL. Expecting a 2 week lay off given Bromwich who wasn't even charged. Its the fact that it hit the media thats the issue.

Testing is treated differently by NRL. First offence is swept under the carpet.

The Norman thing was more about the bikies and the tape, not the possession charge.

Not sure if it has been posted here, but SKD has been suspended indefinitely pending NRL integrity unit investigation.
