Skoko or Grella

I touched on this briefly in the Harry thread. I think it is time that Vince Grella who plays for Empoli should get a go in the middle of the park with Bresciano for the socceroos. Colosimo was really good against Venezuala too. Maybe all three could work together or perhaps Skoko is solid enough to hold his spot.

views please.

I agree on your comments about Grella, I think he would be great for Australia in the midfield, I'm sure he will really cement his spot in the near future

i'd like to see grella, bresciano, skoko and emerton in the midfield. i don't really know how this could be organised but they are by far our 4 best midfielders

Skoko can't pass for sh*t!!!

He's tough in the tackle, but his 'sweeping crossfield balls' are close to TWELVE times as likely to take out the corner flag, as find their mark!! (I've worked it all out PRECISELY matthematically!! :p )

GRELLA please!!!!

I really don't know what they see in Skoko, this even shouldn't be a question to be honest - Grella should be viewed miles ahead of Skoko in the midfield

I saw Skoko play for his Turkish team (I have no idea how its spelt) and he was monumental. Just ask the people at Genk how good a player they think he is, they were very sad to see him go. You can't captain a team in the Champions League and be as bad as some people are suggesting here. Grella will get his chance eventually.

IMO I think they have both had enough chances playing for Aust.
They would still be both in the squad but my starting 4 midfield would be.

Elrich, Emerton, Bresciano, and Harry.

Agostino has done enough to suggest he should be up front with Dooks, and Harry can easily adopt a role in behind both strikers.

I would put Zenon Caravella in the midfield for the Olyroos.

IMO he was left out of the squad because his uncle is Frank Farina and he didn't want to look biased.

Put a green n gold jersey on him n he goes somewhat M.I.A though!!

excuse my ignorance, but who is elrich???

skoko was considered the best player in belgium for years and his experience could prove pivotal in our south american qualifier

Yeah, and what's the deal with the hooliganism picture in your sig mate? Do you feel proud when people tarnish the game's image?

Whats the deal with having ultra in your name? are you proud of the 'ultra' hooliganism movement in Europe?
