Will miss the Skull.

One of Australia’s best-loved cricket commentators, Kerry O'Keeffe, has announced his retirement from the ABC.

"I've thought long and hard about it for a number of years – a number of weeks, really,” he said. “You know when your time is up and after 13 summers with ABC Grandstand I'm retiring from cricket broadcasting.

Abc grandstand has lost another asset

Glenn mitchell and now kerry

Quenton hull is not as charismatic as mitchell as his replacement
And mongbert is an atypical Victorian

skull was it as far as cricket on the radio.

knew his stuff and was funny as f**k.

particularly loved his byplay with aggers and harsha bhogle.(and the kiwi who's name eludes me - skull seriously gave it to that poor merkin)

and he loved his league.

This has the stench of a man being pushed. Skull has been more cheeky than usual this season in taunting the Vic's and their pansy-arse game. Perhaps it has come back to bite him.

We all know how friggin precious the ABC is about fairyball and no doubt he has upset a few pencil necks in high places.

Thats the one, poor Byran just didn't get Kerry at all. Very sad day IMO, the Skull was easily the best cricket commentator going around and will leave a massive hole for the ABC.

They had david morrow's commentary complementing the footage of a south sydney game on channel 9
