SLE bosses are set to bow to pressure and bring in an independant board of directors.
At present, four of the five Super League directors - chairman Chris Caisley, Gary Hetherington, Shane Richardson, and Tim Adams - have club affilliations.
A proposal that all board members should be independant will be put to the 12 SL clubs next Wednseday.
Surely this is long overdue, and maybe at last SLE might become an effective organisation run for the betterment of the whole competition and not just for individual clubs.
