I have noticed the last few weeks that the ESL has gone from C9 before the 4pm NRL game on sunday.

Used to be good to flick over after the FOX NRL game and see the end of the SL.

Now with the finals and the challenge cup the games are gone, instead showing resuce speical ops repeats.

IS it officially gone for good or just a break for some reason?

I think the Super League Might've just been in recess while the Challenge Cup Finals have been on.

Nine had advertised other games on a Sunday arvo and then pulled them to show actors on boats and farmers attempting to get in knickers of desperate chicks, but thankfully last weekend they showed the Leeds v Saints game, which was a beauty!

But I'm not convinced the games are back per se.

The St Helens v Leeds game was a top of the table clash and they may have decided to go with that one purely because it would get more interest. We'll see.

According to yourtv.com.au This Sunday, Channel 9 is advertised as having:-

Sunday Footy Show - Noon to 1pm (last start due to US Tennis Open)
Sunday Roast - 1pm to 2pm
English Super League - 2pm to 3.30pm (no game details provided)
Rugby League Finals 3.30pm to 6pm Dragons v Eels

THATS 6 STRAIGHT HOURS OF RUGBY LEAGUE TALK AND ACTION!

Does life get any better than that?

The Sky games this weekend are Hull v Bradford (12th v 9th) and Wakefield v HKR (6th v 3rd), so you'd presume they'd go with the latter match for Sunday arvo here...

I cant believe that two teams as big as Hull and Bradford are that low on the ladder.

But yeah, you're spot on. Wakefield Trinity vs Rovers is definately the go for a Sunday arvo.

From a neutral perspective, it's been good to see a changing of the guard in terms of sides that make the finals... Catalans last year, Hull KR, Huddersifled and Wakefield this year, Castleford not far behind.

Harlequins are still a worry though... has anyone been reading how their RU arm has been fined half a million pounds for systematic mis-use of the blood bin?

True, Rugby League in England needs to have different teams becoming successful to keep fan involvement up and to re-ignite interest in towns where football have taken over, such as Huddersfield.

I wish Warrington had made a better fist of the Super League this season. With their roster they really should have won alot more games.

Warrington suffered from having an inexperienced coach at the start of the season who wasn't able to manage some of the big egos in the squad. They have been much better for the second half of the season, and with the signings they've made for next year I expect them to be top 3 easily.

Smith (Roosters) and Smith (Warrington)

They're the managers of the teams I follow!

The need Mr Wesson as their assistant managers - that'll help them keep the egos at both clubs in line!!
