first round complete and dwight howard god DAMN that was some sh*t. sorry rudy gay but that was just trash you can't bring that to a slam dunk contest. i liked jamario's effort because it came off smooth, green's effort was meeeeh if you ask me only the people soiling themselves cos he blew out the damn candle

superman howard has got this sh*t locked. rudy gay, you can't do that dunk after dwight howard has done it. it was alright, but it was already done and not as good as the first one. jamario moon put too much pressure on himself by putting the tape down and i wasn't overly impressed with gerald green either. thank god for dwight howard. throwing the ball through the basket haha give it to him now

dwight howard, that has to be up there as one of the most perfect performances in dunk contest history. he'd make wilkins and MJ proud on that effort. behind the basket, superman throwing the ball through the hoop, tossing the ball to yourself THEN tipping it off the backboard and slamming it home then putting a mini basket and take the ball off of that and windmilling it? game over

Dwight Howard owned, brings me back the VC's performance in 2000. The superman dunk was probably the best i've ever seen, he fricken threw it into the hoop. The next was was equally intense.

As Dr. J said, to me Green's last dunk was under-rated, it must be extremely hard to dunk that high without shoes but he did himself a major dis-service by repeating his previous dunk.

if green had of done it without shoes the first time around and then done something different he'd of got major props for it but since he'd already done it it's like "eh you already did that" no matter how good the second one was

i thought they were a little harsh on jamario moon's first effort too

agree with you on green. moon's first effort surprised me, i thought he had taken off from too far back but he made it. The cake dunk was pretty good for creativity although i think he shoulda left that for the end, all comes to Dwight for raising the bar with that first dunk.

Seriously, the way Dwight opened up in the first two rounds (the self-behind the backboard ally and the ridiculous superman dunk), he could've missed both dunks in the final round and the fans would've still voted him the winner.

yeh its a pitty that the judges dont actually know what a dunk is cause dwight 2nd one wasnt even a dunk :crazy:

Green's first one was awesome u people dont relize how hard it would be too blow out the candle while your dunking

and the shoes one was awesome
