I didnt see what happened yesterday and tbh that sh*t is not on no matter who is involved.

Slater is no cleanskin himself but to be fair to the guy can def take care of himself, besides what was that Saints player thinking taking him on, i heard Slater is a black belt :sarcasm: hehe

Mate, the ball had already well and truly run dead and slater was 2-3 metres outside the field of play when he was pushed. Completely unnecessary, and if slater had of lost balance and gone head first, who knows what sort of injuries he might have sustained.
The fact he had to use his foot to stop his momemtum and his foot nearly went through the f**king thing was dangerous enough as is. If he'd had crashed into that and broken his ankle or leg, that saints player would have been in a lot of strife this morning

He was barely outside the dead ball line. I do however, agree with you that it was completely unnecessary. But i believe Dan Hunt didn't intentionally push him into the signage. It was a show of frustration that many players do.

Slater would never try and fight someone toe to toe.

Imagine if it had happened at WIN or even Ctown. He would have been straight into the fence.

I love seeing this photo and ones like i with slater stopping the ball or almost stopping it and people having a cry. We all know what a superstar he is and how he has never kicked anyone in the head ("outlaw it coz it will happen one day... cry cry cry") except that tiger bastard which he did on purpose and who deserved every stud in the face for what he was doin to billy that game..... now excuse me while i go have a tug:eek:

You can't have it both ways mate. What Dan Hunt did was a thug act and had the potential for harm to Slater. It was an example of the sh*t Slater, and for that matter other fullbacks cop all the time. Slater is one who stands up to that as should other fullbacks.

At any rate, Slater is a brilliant footballer, best fullback in the game and I'll delight in watching him for many years to come, dominating for melbourne, Queensland and Australia. You girls can whinge about him to your heart's content.

What about the dog from the dragons who tried to push billy into the signage... completely unnecessary, late and cheap, and he almost went straight into the signage. They can do some real damage on those things... They need not to have those metal signage things that close to the field, too dangerous.

I wish he went through it and it sliced his femoral artery. The guy is scum. It's a shame he has all the talent in the world, but he ruins it with being a gutless coward in the acts he does on the field. The amount of stuff he gets away with amazes me. Every game he plays in, he'll deliberately try and injure a player at some point.

For the record, I didn't think there was all that much in the Hornby incident. Nor did I think there was much in the push, they happen all the time, it's just poor planning having hard signage that close to the ground. But Slater is a cat, he is one player I hope goes down with a career ending injury every time he carries the ball.

So when something happens to Slater (that happens all the time to other players), its a "thug act". But when Slater does a "thug act", He's standing up for himself? Your Queensland bias is getting tiresome, mate.

. A Raiders fan preaching class.

We're not the ones wishing Billy Slater serious injury just because he dominates your side every time he plays you

Slater didnt do a single thing grubby yesterday, in fact the entire storm team were clean skinned yesterday... the Dragons on the other hand were trying to take heads off, and were pinged a number of times for grapples and could have been pinged a few more times, as well as having grubs trying to push players into metal signage stands...

there was one team yesterday who showed their class... and its the same team that won. The other were OUT classed and now their fans are showing absolutely none.

Its here for all to see.
Dont worry though, i can empathise with you, Slater tears the Raiders apart every game he plays against us too, its very annoying but it takes a pretty classless lot to go and wish serious injury on the guy because he's better than your guys.

Storm beat us fair and square. I'm not bitter or upset about it. I only talk about people with class, who actually have class themselves.

Slater is the dirtiest player in the game alongside Gallen. I have no respect for players who play the game the way they do. Especially when they don't need to, Slater especially is exceptionally talented and doesn't need to be a dirty player to succeed in the game. He is always the 3rd man in on any fight, throws cheap shots when someone is being held back. Has no problems trying to throw elbows or kicks at players completing a standard tackle etc. The way he plays is gutless. He deserves no respect, which is a shame, because a player with as much talent as him should be one of the most respected players in the game. Generally his grubby acts override his outstanding performances.

Yesterday he was grappled at least 3 times, once badly enough to incite Cam Smith, usually a calm cool customer to interject and start a push and shove... others in very awkward fashion, he was then pushed into metal signage unnecessarily and Slater is the grub?

Im not saying Slater is a clean skin, because he's not, he likes to get under peoples skin and he occasionally steps over the mark and is rightly critised for that, and yes he is probably a bit grubbier than most, but this thread has no right to be started given what transpired on the footy paddock yesterday. Slater cop a lot of grubby treatment yesterday and he responded in the respectful way possible, by carving them up with football in hand.

If you think that Melbourne and Billy Slater especially, were Angels yesterday, either your hatred of the Dragons runs that deep or you're just an idiot.

Firey_Dragon didn't say he wished Slater had sliced his Femoral Artery because he "dominates our side everytime he plays us" (which isn't true). He said it because Slater is a grub, a coward and a protected species.

Please don't insult St George fans from a misinterpreted comment.

Like to cite some examples Nevan, because it was obviously to a neutral viewer that Dragons were all over the head and some employed some very questionable tactics, the same tactics Storm have been lamented for in the past. Suck up the loss mate and move on, youre embarrassing yourself.
