Pot calling the kettle black at little bit don't you think. At least Gould can provide intelligible insight on the game from time to time.

I don't always agree with Gould, but Slothfield is an absolute grubby little mercenary and at times a complete nutter. Oh please, when it comes to the baggings that Gould dishes out to the NRL they are 99% right and justified.

I tuned in to the footy show to find out what David Gallop had to say but wasn't able to because Gould talked over him all the time.

The problem is:

Gould is so right with what he is saying, but at the same time he is so, so wrong.

He is correct about being able to keep players you develop, however he is so wrong regarding the punishment to the Storm.

Cheats should be smashed into the ground, which is what happened.

How many players have your club missed out on or let go because of the cap?

How many points have you lost to Melbourne over the last five seasons that have cost you a spot in the eight?

Gould is one of the greatest things in this game. I'll be honest, I love his style and I agree with some of what he says, not all of it or anywhere near all of it.

He attacked News Limited long before this happened. Was he right in the end? Yes. Because News Limited own Melbourne Storm, own Fox Sports, who are at the centre of this as well with the Cameron Smith payments, and own 50% of the NRL. This is an impossible situation for the integrity of the game before anything with the Storm had happened.

He also attacks the state of refereeing in the game. Who disagrees with Gould again?

Gould remains a legend of the game. Two Premierships, an incredible Origin record, and I'll go as far as saying I reckon if we gave Gould a greater involvement in the game, it would be better for it.

Agree on Gould to the extent he is knowledgable about the sport itself & can provide valuable input to the game.

His input so far into the current storm issue has however left me believing that he should not be on the board of the proposed independant commission.

So he is devoting his blog today to discuss about a rival journalist?

F*ck me this guy is a complete goose

Gould is a rugby league person.

David Gallop is not.

David Gallop is an ex-News LTD Super League lawyer.

Gould has every right to continually question the massive conflicts of interest in our game.

If Gould talks over the top of Gallop, it's because Gallop comes out with the same stock standard answers everytime, regardless of the subject.

Get them both in the ring and hopefully they'll kill one another. Rothfields a nutcase and Gould attacks everything in the game so of course he is going to be close to the mark every now and then.

At the end of the day they are both journalists doing and saying whatever will further their own position. Anyone that thinks they are doing it for the benefit of the game are a bit gullible IMO.

If he keeps asking the same questions, he'll keep getting the same answers. It's easy for Gould to sit back and throw blame everywhere when all he does is sit on his arse and moan. I like Gould but he's dead set wrong on this issue.

Completely agree, Gould lost the plot.

Doesn't mean Rothfield's any better though.

Rothfield is a dribbler of the highest order. I'd rather listen to a choir containing Raudonikis, Larson, Jason Smith and Darren Lockyer than listen to him.
