Heighno came off the bench. Galea started and in my opinion should've won the Churchill medal

BG had a blinder in the grand final, but I would've given the medal to Laffranchi. No idea how why they gave it to Prince, he had a good game, not great, just good.

Anyone who honestly thinks that Pat Richards was a better player in 05 than Tiquiri is for us now is having themselves on.

The main point I think Farah is trying to get across is that in 05 it was all about "get the ball to benji."

Most of us on here as well were bemoaning our forwards.

Right now, we have attacking weapons across the park - when fully fit, we have the best left hand side in the comp.

Additionally, our forward pack is significantly more balanced than 05.

We will win the comp this year and we have finally put together a squad that will be thereabouts over the next three or four years as well.

Im one of the biggest critics of the Tigers administration, but by god, they have put together a great TEAM.

I think you need to get yourself a DVD of the the 05 Tigers season highlights, that much change your mind on Pat Richards. I love Lote as well though, I'd be happy to take either

all fluffy talk. at the end of the day, the 05 team were premiers and the best that the 11 team can do is to match that. debate over which was better does not matter.

focus on the first semi final - incredibly crucial to win this one, because it is very likely that the loser will have to front up to a full suncorp if they survive week 1.

Sure our backrow now is better than back then but let's face it, the likes of o'neill and Halatau were in career best form during that 05 finals series. Can our current guys keep up?

Sure hope so.

Probably more Payten and Farah's form than anything. Having a fullback that could catch wasn't a bad option either.
Moltzen hasn't dropped a ball going on 3 weeks now!!

I think this year's team is better suited to playing under the current rule interpretations - just like the '05 team was better suited to playing under the '05 rule interpretations.

Am a little concerned after Saturday's performance, but with players due to come back, other players still finding their feet or fitness (or both), plus a short turn-around (Mon to Sat), I think you can understand why they were a little flat.
