MELBOURNE Storm captain Cameron Smith has been found guilty at an NRL judiciary hearing tonight and will miss the rest of this season.
The decision is a body-blow to the Storm's hopes of successive premierships.
Smith fronted the judiciary tonight charged with a grapple tackle on Brisbane forward Sam Thaiday last weekend.

The Storm skipper pleaded not guilty but the NRL judiciary believed otherwise, suspending him for two games.

Smith will now miss Friday night's grand final qualifier against Cronulla at the SFS.

He would also be unavailable for the grand final, should Melbourne progress by beating the Sharks.

Melbourne coach Craig Bellamy now has three choices as his replacement hooker _ Billy Slater, Russ Aitken and Matt Geyer.

NRL on Fox are saying he is charged, just had a cross to the head quarters, definitely gone.

That herald link is fugged.

That's funny - how could the herald get it sooooo wrong? Either he's out or he isn't... there isn't really any grey area there. Bloody journos. Hopeless.

Seriously Shark Fin, would you rather the Sharks play the Storm without Smith their Captain or not? I rest my case
