So lets talk about next year

So we are all hacked off with seven losses in a row and the fact that this year is now a real right off not just hanging in there mathematically. So lets look forwards to next year - what 17 do you all reckon we ought to start the year with - bearing in mind we've let a million players go and bought next to none - however we are probably not far off being there - here's my thoughts after last nights effort

1. Kearney – looking for the holes like a Slater / Bowen – "Mr X Factor" – how much have we missed this guy?
2. Brown – why did we wait so long? – tough, quick must be part of the future
3. McNichol – he’d better be up to the hype at 200k a year
4. The Pom – getting better each game – now one of the best centres in the comp
5. The Cov – say no more – will need to speed up though to keep pace with Pom
6. Perenara – why did we wait so long? – We must keep this Guy - good 5/8 plus can pack in the second row if we want
7. Seymour – eat your words Ricky – he’s worth keeping – got so much more than Kimmorley just needs to learn how to lead
8. Ross – should be fully fit and keen to earn his keep next year – he will be almost there by the end of this season - and not before time
9. DeGois – we attack better with him than Kinga – will get the X Factor
10. Dougie – legend in the making
11. Gallen – already a legend
12. Thommo – Of course
13. Bird - Skipper

14. Stapleton
15. Williams
16. Selmes, Ciraldo or Snowden if he is up to the hype
17. Green – get him blooded straight away – if as good as said and seen for Parra then give him one year behind Seymour then he can replace him if up to it

Goneski

Kimmorley – not inventive enough – not a captain – no-one cares for or ever listens to him – reckon there will be a twist to the Kimmorley story in close season – conspiracy theory or a wish only
Kinga – too defensive - better options available to us with DeGois / Green / Watts - PL
Simmons – Sydney FC need help - go there please
Anderson – Now we know why Wayne Bennett let him loose
Misi – Too unpredictable - PL
Dykes – to freeze his arse off in the UK
Selmes – PL
Weston - PL

We are close to being a real team - just got to learn how to win

When you put it down like that, pommy shark, it doesn't look too bad. McNicol of course is a complete unknown but there's enough experience around him to build him up. Still underdone in the halves and not a particularly strong bench, but you'd have to guess with a bit of mongrel under their belts they would win more than they lost.

I'd make Thommo captain. He's been an inspiration since day one. He must be gutted not being on the park.

Kingston, Misi and Weston should be kept and developed.

Won't be a conspiracy PS.
Nor a theory.
Not even a wish.

It's a fact.

Well no. Benny was quite upset we stole Fraser from under their noses.

I think he has been thrown in the deep end this year and obviously hasn't handled it well.

IMO he would be a great winger or an even better 2nd rower if developed right(there is a SBW similarity about him:shock: ). In all seriousness we had no better centre option...Wombat is a forward but in the end sticky had to give in.

I think Fraser needs some time in PL to develop a little more. He certainly has the right attributes to excel.

Has Nielsen been re-signed yet?

Jeez Pommyshark how many games have you seen this year without the rose coloured specs?
. Kearney – Far to fragile and is not Fullback , will find it difficult to make the run on side.
1. Brown – tough, quick must be part of the future
McNichol – He may get a start by mid season if he recovers fully.
2. Misi Tulapapa- Lots of speed but needs more hand glue.
3. Frazer Anderson - Should improve next season if he sees the ball.
4. The Pom – Legend
5. The Covel- Legend
6. Perenara – must play 5/8 where he can get the ball , has a brain!
Seymour – Liability in defence and can be wooden in attack , needs feild goal practice to stay in the side.
7. Watts or Green , they both will be electric in 08 . They can smell Noddys blood.
Ross – Cant hit and cant run , hurts no one in defence, UK bound.
8 Stapelton- hurts in attack and defence , can stay on the feild like Doug.
9. DeGois – we attack better with him than Kinga – Great dummy half runner, Latu factor+
10. Dougie – Already a legend
11. Gallen – already a legend
12. Thommo – Already a legend
13. Bird - Need to learn how to pass the ball, then will be a legend.

14 . Weston . Very mobile but must find speed in attack. Im very confident about this player.
15. Williams. Very important in 2008 can play lock , second row, center ,
16. Selmes, will be in the run on side by mid season, loves to hurt people.
17. Kinga , Very important in 2008 Defensive specialist when needed.
I dont care who McNicol or Snowden are , they have to prove themselves in 08.
Coach Ricky Stuart- needs to find balls. Must improve bench and selection decisions.

We will need at least 4 more players to get through the season , just.

Goneski
Kimmorley – Get rid of him .
Simmons – Soft
Dykes – to freeze his arse off in the UK
