The only one worth getting is Sammut. He's a freak, but wouldn't fit out side, unless at fullback. Senior is 10 classes above Ayshford, but way too old.

Sammut would be a handy pick up for fullback, however I wouldn't be surprised if all of these players get signed by other Superleague clubs first.

Senior is contemplating playing a season or two in the NRL. He's 35 years old though, not too sure who would pay big coin for him...oh wait, Roosters, Bulldogs, Eels and Souths would

I havent seen Sammut play since he left the NRL, but the way he used to play would fit our style perfectly.

Is he still fast?

He would be great running of Benji.

Reddy to 3 and Ayshford to back row / back bench sub.

I would have Ayshford ahead of Reddy in the centres any day. Reddy can be on the wing for when Tuqiri and Utai are on the sidelines injured, or on the bench instead of Ryan.

I hope to god we don't sign Sammut, he pulls off some amazing plays yes, but the amount of f**k ups he makes is ridiculous.

Dan, Shines has flagged Ayshford for the back row for some time now -

I agree with you - but its going to happen.

Ayshford would be just as effective in the backrow as he is in the centres anyway, if not more so. He wouldn't have to worry so much about passing. Then again Lawrence would make a better backrower than Ayshford.

On topic: Sign Lincoln Withers. He's good and apparently he's only 31!? How could he only be 31? I'm sure we could get loads of use out of him as a half or bench hooker. He'd be as useful as Lui in attack but he's one of the best small defenders I've seen.

Tried Withers - we moved on.

I would prefer to see a back rower move into the centres (Fulton) than centres move into the back row, particularly given we have a pack that is now FINALLY seen as too small......

If we could sign any centre at all I would like to see us with Matai. Jesus - to actually have a player with some mongrol would be WONDERFUL!

Im content-ish with how we are looking next year.

Provided Miller becomes first choice half, we are looking OK.

Sammut signed with Bradford. Senior is going back in for another op after his previous one became infected. Withers is just as woeful as he was last time he was here. O'Hara still throws himself into the line. Hanbury isn't first grade standard, just as last time.

I wouldn't mind Withers as a squad player. He can actually tackle and is a useful utility. In fact, he would be a great bench utility and back up for Farah.

I think some people have harshly judged him because he was forced into the 7 jumper. We must remember we didn't have a decent halfback at the time and it wasn't Lincoln's fault. He at least put effort in each game, showed some toughness/mongrel and was never a passenger.

We have seen more talented halfbacks show less effort than him.

As I said at the time, and confirmed last weekend when watching him again.. He can tackle, but not defend. He's got a great front on shot, but is completely ineffective if the attacker runs even slightly to his side. If he gets a go, i'm submitting a CV.
