Every year there's usually one or two folk here who have a scoop or two. I remember Vagana's signing got cracked well before it was officially announced, and last year we had Covell's signature before anyone else.

Maybe I'm just jumping the gun. I'd like to know how this Bailey/Mason saga is going to unfold though.

So why would we sign Gorrell then?

Because he is a good rake and represents excellent value for money. If we got him for half the amount we are paying that hack Simmons, it would be the buy of the season.

80 minute hooker.

Young.

Can pass from DH, extremely well.

Can kick goals extremely well and can kick in general play (better than Sully).

Few errors and MT, and is a pretty strong DH runner, although most people wouldn't have seen him do it much. And he plays well at first receiver, if need be.

Just my opinion, but he is off contract and an excellent hooker. He would start in that position for Saints if Dean Young wasnt alive and if Doust & Brownie didnt have man love for Mick Ennis.

I like Gorrell, and he can also slot into the halves if necessary so he'd be a decent signing.

Peachey HAS to be re-signed. Probably our best back this year.

I was for Enniss last year but now I've seen him play in a decent team I'm happy we didn't sign him. I've seen Gorrell on tv and he looks a likely type of hooker and would probably be cheap, but what about Kingston.

Doesn't look like Rapes likes using local juniours, unless they are from De La.

Its more than likely he will fill the positions that have a question mark over them with imports, hopefully one of which will be Goz.

Do we really want Mason and the trouble that will come with him? He has been very injury prone this year, could it be a waste of our funds? Just like the Knights wasting all their money keeping Johns and Buderus, what good has it done them!!!!

I wouldnt agree injury prone he played virtually every game last year, and his injury was against usa on dodgy field, his only 24, missing most of this year, will be good for him bring him back fresh.

The player we should look at is John Morris, get him as hooker, and can cover halves if injury
