Soccer Play by E-mail Game - Managers Wanted

Hello guys,

I'm trying to find a couple of new managers for the play by email soccer game I am involved with. Please take the time to read the details below as you may be interested or know somebody that is.

FCFL - Four Corners Football League

How it works -
All teams in the League have a roster of players all having skills in certain areas. Each weekend you send in your teamsheet which inludes tactics etc and play against someone else in the league from around the world. This is done by the game runners putting your tactics against the other team in a specially designed program. There is also a Cup competition that is ran during the week but not every week (like the FA Cup). Theres also ICFF which is like the European Champions League and it puts the best in the FCFL against the best from other leagues that are ran the same way.

After each game you get detailed stats, a full game report with all the action plus your new roster which is effected with player fitness, injuries and suspensions.

Other parts of the game -
Transfers - Wheel and Deal in the transfer market with other clubs
Auctions - Pick up a new star at the auctions
Stadiums - Upgrade your stadium as you get better to accomodate more fans
Finances - All players need to be paid etc
Newspapers - Earn money for your club by writing articles and/or website
Training Packages - Hopefully being introduced next season
Youth Team - Follow the youth coming through and promote a new star
Predictions - Earn money from predicting the results in the league

Note all the above things are optional and you don't have to get involved with them. The main part is submitting your teamsheets each week. So you can spend 30 minutes a week or much more depends on how much you want to be involved.

Theres also a mailing list that you get put on that each manager in FCFL posts to. Everything about the game goes through this list and theres a good bunch of people involved. A lot of fun is had by all.

We currently have 4 unmanaged teams -
Valiant Gunners - Div2
St Anns FC - Div2
Tamworth Tigers - Div2
Sydney Olympic - Div2

At request of the board you may be able to change the team name if you're keen enough to get involved.
If you want anymore details or want to get invloved please let me know. Or pass it on to someone who might. Season 5 is just about to begin so please let me know ASAP so I can get all the details to you.

Thanks all, hope someone is keen. Let me know.

On the hunt for some new managers again. We have a couple of vacancies with Season 5 about to end and Season 6 to begin in the new year.

Hoping to get a 3rd Division off the ground in coming seasons, but for now we need a couple more on deck to fill up the League as is.

PM me for more details if your interested. It's a bit of fun and doesn't take to much time to be involved.

Matt23 or Nev, you guys till interested?

if i was to get involved, Tamworth would have to be my team!! sounds very good, but one game in hattrick is enough for me. good luck to everyone involved though!! looks very good indeed.

It doesn't take to long mate. Once the season is up and running its really only a matter of submitting team sheets. Bit to do in the off season, but not much...

Yeah, just getting used to knowing the skills etc. Make sure your recieving those emails form the fcfl yahoo group though. Either have them forwarded to your hotmail (preferably something else....) or keep a check on the yahoo group. That way you don't miss anything important.

Pre season draft, auction and tournament details will come out in coming weeks.

G'day everybody,

Details of FCFL are listed earlier in this thread...

After 5 successful seasons, and the 6th started it's time for FCFL to expand.

Currently we have 2 Divisions (20 teams, 19 managed). There is also a cup competition and FCFL is involved with ICFF Champions League and Trophy competitions. (ICFF is a group of similar leagues using the esms game running program).

The plan is to start the 3rd Division next season (mid 2006), however we really need to have 10 managers on deck to do it properly. It's a complete new Division run the same as Division 1 and 2 or it won't happen. All are welcome, experienced or not.

For now, we are taking expressions of interest. Once a suitable number of managers have submitted, we will look to involve them in a mini tournament to get them involved with FCFL. Then in Season 7 (mid 2006) the real business begins.

If you know somebody who would like to get involved with a good, friendly and fun league, experienced or not, please pass this on. More than half of our managers have been with the League for 5 or 6 out of the 6 seasons so far, I'm sure they could give recommendations on the League if wanted.

All enquiries to (Cc: to both) -
Trevor May (FCFL Commish) - [email protected]
Justin McIntyre - [email protected]

Thanks all.

Note - The FCFL website is going to be revamped. Everything is operating through a mailing list.
