Social Thread ?

I'm not sure what the policy is on this at this site but I know from experience that it did a lot to create harmony and friendships amongst members on the official site over a number of years. I know of HJ's and others thoughts on the idea but personally I made a lot of damn fine friends on the official board through the social threads and I honestly think it helped with everyone getting to know everyone else just that little bit better and accepting each other for who we are.
Just my thoughts ....

you see, social threads achieve nothing. they are a perfect example of why the potential of the net has been shoved down the toilet, and changed from a medium that can be used for informative purposes to people blathering on about jack squat.

Now, you see, my social thread was outstanding, because it served the purpose of letting us all know where we will end up when the Big Fella comes knocking on the door.

99.99999999999999999999999999999% (read: anything I don't post) of social threads are nothing more than a waste of space used by people who spend too much time sitting in front of a computer with little to do.
