you see, social threads achieve nothing. they are a perfect example of why the potential of the net has been shoved down the toilet, and changed from a medium that can be used for informative purposes to people blathering on about jack squat.

Now, you see, my social thread was outstanding, because it served the purpose of letting us all know where we will end up when the Big Fella comes knocking on the door.

99.99999999999999999999999999999% (read: anything I don't post) of social threads are nothing more than a waste of space used by people who spend too much time sitting in front of a computer with little to do.

Go read a book if you are that bored. :roll:

Ahh but that is where I feel you are wrong here HJ .Social threads are very much what the internet has potential for.It might surprise you to learn that life is not only about informing each other about things but interacting with each other on many levels.Interacting requires that you give to others and they give to you .Not merely a one way informing process.
There are many people who have had their lives enriched by interacting with people on the internet for purposes other that to be informed or to inform.Just as interacting with people through conversation is a pleasant and fulfilling life skill that some would do well to practice more often.
Books dont talk back ;-)
